That's cool.

J.D. Walton may have been one Pouncey away from the honor himself . . .

Walton was awful most of the year.

The Pats have a Gronkowski, and so do the Broncos.

I wish we had theirs and they had ours . . .

Didn't he move around? I thought I remember him playing RT at some point.

He got thrown into the fire. I think him and Walton will both be better next year.

He was better than Beadles though.

Beadles would have been ok in either, but at least with Fox Walton fits the offense much better than he would have if Dennison was given the HC job.

Must have been a thin year for Rookie Guards...

He was better than Beadles though.

No he wasn't. He wasn't better than anyone. Walton might have been the worst center in the NFL most of the year.

He was most certainly better than Beadles though. Beadles was absolutely terrible at whatever position he played. Walton was terrible, Beadles was worse. Much worse.

Not really, but believe what you want. And at least with Beadles, he played more than one position...whatever that means. I actually thought Beadles was better at RT, though.

Beadles got beat out by Stanley f'n Daniels and Rich Hochstein until injuries decimated our oline. Beadles played more than one poeition because he's a versatile player who isn't good enough to start anywhere. Stanley f'n Daniels.

Neither one of them were worse than George Foster.

They were both rookies, playing in a heavily injured line.

I think they both did good jobs, considering their predicaments . . .

Denver's running game dramatically improved when Beadles was inserted at LG... he sucked at RT because he can't play outside... but he played damn well at LG

Not really. By pretty much any measure they were awful.

You have your opinion (which you have already clearly expressed); I have mine.

But, in view of Beadles' honor here, there are also others who disagree with you . . .

Yeah, and your point was that they did good considering the circumstances. Perhaps you meant to say they did bad but have an excuse because they shouldn't have been out there. This would be more correct. But, no, they didn't do good by any standard of measure. The best you can say is that they had an excuse for being bad.

BTW, I don't really care about what others said. I don't know why you're worried about it either unless you're one of those guys who solicits support from others.

Now what is your point, or are you simply in the baiting mode?

At any rate, I said what I had to say, so I'm done. So you have the floor. Reiterate away . . . :coffee:

P.S. In fact, you are on Ignore.

My point is that you're wrong. If being told that, is too much for you, perhaps internet message boards aren't the place for you.

im not so sure about that silk beadles was atrocious at RT, in fact he had 1 good game at RT and was horrible the rest of the time he played there both in run blocking and pass protection. but once beadles moved to LG he was our best OL behind clady....our worst OL player overall the last half of the season was actually kuper, who couldnt run block or pass block to save his life....harris was mediocre also...i do belive in both cases injuries were a factor for both harris and kuper though.

Walton was pretty much atrocious all year in pass protection untill the last 4 games and couldn't run block to save his sole the first half of the seaosn however, his calls and his run blocking were much better second half....and his pass protection got much better once mmcoy simplified some things for the OL.

walton and beadles I have no doubt will be absolutely key factors next year in the new offense scheme....one that doesnt have the stupid blocking set-up of Mcd's wack ass blocking scheme.....

Exactly . . . they had to go from raw rookies to having had some experience
and gelling as a line. As I said, I believe they did a very good job for what
they had to deal with . . .

Beadles played well when he was moved. The line really solified when they made the last adjustment. I don't think it's too crazy to expect the Broncos offensive line to be one of the better units in the NFL next season. They're young, athletic, and have a year of experience together behind them now.

And for the two rooks I'm guessing some much desired rest.

I thought Beadles wasn't atrocious. Not a world beater, but considering:

- At LG for TC and preseason
- Gets shuffled to RT for the beginning of the season (had to start next to Hoch for a couple of games)
- Harris returns, Beadles returns to the bench
- Quickly beats out Hoch and holds down position for rest of the season.

This is with a banged up O Line, starting next a rookie and with a dstinctly average OL coach. I think the guy did pretty well considering there was little stability in our line until after the bye week. It's a tough learning curve to get into the NFL, let alone having to learn two positions.

Or maybe the fact that you believe your opinion is fact is the real culprit here. And perhaps since opinions bother you so, message boards aren't the place for you.
