Whats different from the first one?

New songs (like 80 or so, you can actually import all the old songs from the original Rock Band onto your hard drive and play them in Rock Band 2, all downloaded songs also work). It has a better track list, it's harder, they made the vocals harder. It also now has online world tour (so you can play online co-op with friends or whoever). There are now "challenges" that let you unlock songs. There is also "battle of the bands" which let's bands compete online for the highest score in pre selected sets of songs. These change change all the time, sometimes daily. Basically, they perfected the original, added some features/game modes, and have a better song list.
