I am currently winning my game in my money league this week with Cutler, Marshall and Royal.

That's amazing that someone could miss one game and still have a very good shot at breaking, if not shattering the catch record for a season. I mean hell, he just abused supposedly one of the best corners in the game and the Saints sure as hell don't have anyone in their secondary who scares me so i agree that he should have at least 10 catches next week.

18 catches isn't going to happen routinely, but yesterday made up for missing week 1.

Also, a day like this will force teams to do more double coverage, which will open up Royal, Stokely and Scheffler.

That's just the thing, though. He doesn't need 18 catches a week to do it. 9 a week will get him right there.

very nice thread. and very reachable for marshall. practicing against the best corner in the league has made marshall impossible to cover.

oh shit, my bad, i was doing the numbers to meet last years 104 mark. Yes, I am an idiot, lets try 8.714 catches per game so in all actuality, isn't too far fetched. (140-18=122/14=8.714)

More like 8-9. And as ridiculous as our defense is, we should be throwing a lot this season and should make that easy.

I think he'll grab 10 more this week...... But for now 143 - 24 = 119
119 More to go to tie the record. I think he can do it. Thats 9 per game plus one game with 10. Kinda steep, but with the way Cutler and Marshall are clicking right now it wouldn't surprise me.

I forgot to update this last week. With a 3 catch week, his average catches per game has risen to 10 to hit his goal of 140 over the remaining 11 games.
