Masseuses sue Jets, Brett Favre

NEW YORK -- Two massage therapists sued Brett Favre on Monday, saying they lost their part-time jobs with the New York Jets after complaining about sexually suggestive text messages from the veteran quarterback.

Claiming they were subjected to sexual harassment and job discrimination, Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole are seeking unspecified damages from Favre, the Jets and a Jets massage coordinator.

While the women don't say they received any messages directly from Favre, he referred to Scavo in a message proposing a meeting with her and a third, unidentified massage therapist, the lawsuit says.

Here's what I want to know. If Favre was this sexual degenerate during his one season in New York, why have no golddiggers come forward from Green Bay or Minnesota where he spent more of his career? I'm just saying. If you believe he's a serial sexter, why is this only an issue while he's in NYC and not anywhere else in his 18 NFL seasons? It just doesn't ring true.

Ok, I want to say first, that I'm totally against harassment of ANY kind. I also think that even if Favre just left those VM's for Jenn Sterger it was low class. Married, with a wife that was fighting breast cancer, that's just low. If he in fact did that, I've lost a lot of respect for him and frankly I believe it WAS him.

However, you must PROVE he sent those pictures, and second that it WAS not only unwelcome but that she had also asked him to stop. Period. Without that, you've got nothing.

I DO find it awfully odd that this comes out over two years later. If it WAS offensive, why wait so long? The same for these two new women. I respect their feelings if they were violated. But again, why wait? If they WERE wrongfully terminated, which is what they were claiming, why would they not fight that right away and while the evidence was all there and fresh? This just rings false to me. The shame of it is that even if it's true, they LOOK like they're being shady or after money because of the fact that they waited. Apparently they didn't suffer or experience unemployment for any period of time so that they were satisfied BACK THEN with just letting it go and NOW they're saying how unfair it was, etc.? Sorry ladies, I back this kind of thing all the time, but the way you've handled this, even if you were victimized, just smells.
