Would you in your right mind trade Brandon Marshal for Jamarcus Russel?

I am about to tell the guy no and ask if he is serious, but I thought I would get the advice of those who I respect.

Why in the hell would anyone even begin to think of such a thing?

I can't access the league right now so I couldn't tell you. I got the e-mail, and thought that this guy is insane.

LMAO!

i still wouldn't make that trade, though. . . lewis was productive last year and stands to be again, but he has no upside-- he's an aging RB with plenty of wear on his tires, and he's already dealing with a hamstring injury. . . marshall was just as productive last year, and is an emerging young star with huge upside. . . he also looks to be the top weapon on what may well be a very potent offense this year. . . drop ben watson and one of those kickers and pick up some more RBs for depth. . .

If it was me, I'd consider it. But only if they could guarantee me a green card, and Garrett Atkins (3rd/1st baseman for the Colrado Rockies) as my personal sex slave.

This may not be the most appropriate trade option for you.

My current WR: Plex, Wayne, Marshall, Deshawn Jackson, Santana Moss.
My current RB: Lynch, Selvin Young, Kevin Smith, Andre Hall, Steve Slaton

My friend wants to trade me Steven Jackson or Brandon Jacobs or Grant for Plex.

Do you guys think looking at my current roster the move would improve my roster, or shall I keep a good thing going with my WR's and average RB stable. Thanks for your feedback.

edit: I play in a (3) WR, (2) RB, (1) flex league.

yes, i would. . . with desean jackson looking like the real deal, you have more solid receiving options than you can start-- of course he's not as good as plex, but i like wayne/marshall/jackson or moss with lynch and sjax/jacobs better than your currrent lineup. . .

oh, just noticed that you play a flex position. . . hmmm. . . i think i would still do it. . .

Thanks. Which RB do you like? Jax had a bad week last week, and he struggled all of last year...so i'm kind of hesitant. Jacobs is injury prone, and shares caries. Grant's upside isn't has high as the others....

see how steven jackson does this week, as he's the most talented of those backs. . . but i actually like grant, and i think he has plenty of upside-- he put up serious numbers down the stretch last year, including a 200 yard game in the playoffs, and he just had a solid performance against the league's best run defense. . .

Dude, Marshall will have a pretty big year...He has been working on his routes and footwork in the offseason. His YAC will be up from last year (If that's possible).
It will take an average of 2-3 tacklers to bring him down.

On the other hand, if you're loaded with WR's and have only 1 stud RB, I would consider who are my WR's after B is traded away. If you have someone who will put up the same type of numbers as Brandon, and no RB....Take Jamarcus, Ahem...I mean Jamal. :D
