View Full Version : What is with the Rivers hate?

I was told I could do this in a different section (It was in Sack before) and get some real answers. So what is your deal with Philip Rivers and his supposed smack talk. Is it because the Chargers have begun a new tradition thanks to him, beat the Broncos into submision? Or is it because he said, "attababy" to his linebackers for forcing an incompletion on Christmas Eve and Culter looked over to see it so Kornheiser said it was serious smack talk and got that stupid bitch on the sideline to confirm it? Seriously the guy has shown a lot more, and a mean a lot more than Jay Cutler. He has proven to be a better all around quarterback and I personally am sick about hearing about how he smack talks too much only having seen him do it twice in justified situations. Colts fans wanna cheer an injury, he just says, "I'll be back."

It's because he's a whiny little punk.

He has done nothing noteworthy in his career, and as long as he's with the Sparklers that will continue because they have done nothing noteworthy in the history of their team.

Philip Rivers is nowhere near the best player on that team and I will laugh with glee watching him get sacked and obliterated next weekend when I get to view it up close and personal from some great seats at Invesco.

Ahh, got to love these threads. Never the less, here is my stance on wonder boy. Rivers is a good Qb. I loved watching him at N.C State. Im sure in his personal life and his everday character he is probably a good guy. His behavior during gametime is deplorable however. Not because he is fiery kind of guy but because he chooses to engage in a classless manner with opposing fans and opposing Qb's (Cutler to be exact). If he wants to talk smack to our defense in which he has owned the last couple of years thats fine. Let them settle it on the field as men. If the Charger defense wants to get into it with Cutler thats ok too. They will settle it on the field. However, Phil needs to shut his piehole when it comes to our Qb. And before you try and pretend he didnt talk crap to Jay Sotally the video shows quite clearly he is looking directly at Jay while flapping his gums. Other than that, he is ok in my book. Hopefully he will grow up at some point and let his play do the talking for him.

I'll admit that video didn't look good but I stand by it. If Rivers says he was saying Attababy and it just so happened to get Cutler's attention then that's what happened. MNF should have just that shit fall. I mean it was during the commercial break, and on Christmas Eve. Where is the love?
Oh! and Rivers arm - he throws that ball like retarted middle schooler but it gets results. He's hit some 40+ yard bangers and is more of a deep threat than Jay Cutler.

Today we have to ask ourselves, "On what day did God create the Denver Broncos and couldn't he have rested on that day instead?"

BOLD, BLUE, AND B!TCHIN, It's the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Rivers = Senior bowl MVP
Cutler = sh*t is an insult to sh*t

Relax we're all trying to have fun, right?

It wouldn't matter if the Broncos would have never been created...the Chargers have held the cellar to the Chiefs and Raiders too. Perhaps if you guys were in a conference of your own, you'd finally have something for that trophy case.

If you have to go back to senior bowl to show off an MVP for Rivers, you really shouldn't talk about other qb's.

Chargers= sh*t is an insult to sh*t.

Well, Fine. Cutler sucks worse than Rivers - PERIOD. Jay Cutler was a sensation at Vandy but couldn't pick up a winning season. Now he's been talked about as an emerging superstar for two years and I haven't seen him come through. Prove me wrong Jay, prove me wrong. I have no trouble eating crow. I've been eating it since the days of Leaf so go ahead and put some on my plate.

Oh! I do. In fact that was the topic of dicussion the other day woth none other than the great Steve Young. Terrell Davis, Jerry Rice, and Young recently helped my boss, a CA politician, set up a halfway house by donating some dough and speaking on behalf of his fallen son. We met him afterwards and I had my Chargers Jersey on as it was the friday before the 'Niner game. So he maybe mentioned how much throwing 6 TDs was a great moment and that led to a good conversation. It ended with him admitting SD is not done and should win a Lombardi this year. All they need is a little luck...which Brenard Pollard may have brought.

Although i can somewhat feel for you at the same time i dont. When i was 7 and living in Colorado i was just starting to get into football. The first team i latched onto was Dallas and Tony Dorsett. But i really didnt understand the game or sit down and watch it all that much. They just happened to be the hot team. They have an uncanny, unfailing way of making players look much better than they actually are.Thank you, Eddie Royal, my Fantasy team needed that but next week it's a donut for you boy! Why would we? Brady's Pats have won one game against the Broncos... that single win coming by like 4 points with the Broncos' 3rd-string QB (Danny Kanell) in the game. The Pats were probably Boltz fans throughout the regular season... if for no other reason, because they didn't want to face the Broncos in the playoffs.

We have to find how many times the ball was thrown to Champ/Cromartie last year. I think thats the more important stat.

Oh, some smack....uh....isn't it true that Cromartie's mother is a well known whore?

If I get really bored, I think I can find those stats. I've got an idea of where to look, but don't know if I'll have access.

And I heard the second rumor too. But I also hear she's not worth the money.

What the hell was that noise? Did someone say something? It sounded like the soft kiss of the wind upon my ear. It almost sounded like...Denial. Yes, thats what it was. And that smell? Why I do believe someone pissed themselves with fear...

Why are you smelling yourself? Wierd....

:pound:

Congratulations on losing any ounce of credibility you just had!

Yeah, that is hilarious. Go watch the video of Cutler's 65 yard throw to Javon Walker against the Cardinals. Phyllis throws the ball like a shotput.

That's some better smack! Nice, personal attacks always work.
Fine, Antonio Cromartie is going to dominate QBs all year long. He will not break the INT record but he'll come close. Champ Bailey will not.

I'm curious. What is your evaluation of the play of Cromartie today? Was he dominating???

Do you want to re-evaluate Champ's tackling ability?

He talks shit to fans. He talks shit to players when he is on the bench. He is overrated. He is a product of his system. He also sounds like a moron when he talks. The guy is a shitter of epic proportions.

I do not leave people hanging. Cro played awful but it wasn't his jumping at INTs. It was pure inabilty to tackle, deflect, or catch the ball.
I never questioned Camp's ability however I will ask after today, "Champ Bailey who?" Oh! That dude who got a BS interception because of the refs and couldn't hang with Chambers on the two most important huge bombs. Yeah, he's not that good anymore. BUT neither is Cromartie.

He's still the best CB in the league. If we could ever get a pass rush he wouldn't have to cover someone for about 20 mins.

Champ isn't good anymore? How often do you hear his name get called out? Not very often, and that is the mark of a good CB. And half the time his name is called out it it's to the ring of "AND CHAMP BAILEY PICKS OFF THE BALL."

It makes as much sense as Bronco fans saying that LT sucks.

The sandyeggo chargirls whine too much. phily river is just another loud mouth whining little girl as the world has seen over the last year or two, at least since the home field loss to the patsies in the playoffs. He shoots off his eagle mouth and has a humming bird ass that can't back it up.

Jay Cutler has more class in his little finger nail than the entire sandyeggo team has.
