after reading that thread about you stalker flight buffs...

denver broncos flight tracker thread (http://www.broncosforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18786)

here's a question to you guys...

the team is flying on a boeing 767-300...

depending on the seating arrangement of united airlines, the plane has either:
218 seats (3 class)
269 seats (2 class)
351 seats (1 class)

i can only presume that the team charters a plane just to themselves for a number of reasons...

but i was wondering, how many people actually travel with with team??

there are 53 players...

how many coaches are there?

how many support staff travel around with the team?

do players families travel with them?

and the practice squad?

do the waterboys go too?

As a former front office staffer, I can answer that question for you.

All coaches sit in first class. Players sit in the very back. PR and radio guys, some web guys go.

No family at all.

Waterboys in the NFL are actually trainers. Jack of all trades.

Practice squad does not go.

Who the hell is flying the plane?!

Al Davis has had a long term deal with Hawaiian Airlines, and my Uncle-in-law used to fly them to games in a DC-10.

I actually asked him if he ever thought of taking one for the team and putting the plane into a steep dive while muttering allah akbar.
