Cutler will play well..But we are going up against a pretty decent Secondary. I dont think his completion percentage is going to be quite that high. He will throw for a few TD's though..

Selvin Hall

15.5 carries.
8-yards, squared, but only as a single part of the pythagorean theorem.

I wouldn't be surprised if only Cutler has impressive individual stats. I really look for him to spread the ball in the passing game with the TE's and RB's (including Hillis) getting more balls thrown to them than in the recent past. Spread the ball around and keep the defense off balance, control the clock, set up mismatches with a CB or LB then strike. In reading interviews with Bates this year that seems to be an emphasis. I also expect to see Denver split carries with Young and Hall. Hopefully the team stats will be impressive and we come out with a win.

The thing is... Raiders got some excellent corners. Ashomouga (butchered) is an excellent corner, especially.

A good o-line, QB, and WR will beat the best CB 98.3% of the time.

I agree, I'd say Nnamdi Asomugha is arguably the best in the game along with Champ. Hall, IMO, is like Bly, he can be beat because of his gambling style. That's why I look for the ball to be thrown to the guys with LB's covering them, the TE's, FB's and RB's. If that proves to be a successful formula the Faiders will be forced to bring the safeties into tighter coverage support allowing for some single coverage with the CB's and giving us an opportunity for a big strike

BET ME TO IT!

I predict 17 carries for 94 yards and 3LF's. Lf's meaning limps off of the field.

No dude. Not even friggin close. Charles Woodson is still way better than Asomugha. I don't think Asomugha is even top 5 in the NFL yet.

Either way, by game's end I think you'll see Andre Hall getting more carries than Young.

young 11 carries 39 yards, 3 catches 17 yards
hall 14 carries 62 yards
hillis 3 carries 43 yards, 2 catches 24 yards

I could see this game setting a record for the most players to record at least 1 rush attempt.

With Marshall out, look for more underneath stuff and Nate Jackson or Scheff to have a big game. Throw in a little Hillis and Selvin out of the backfield. Draw everybody up with the underneath stuff for a bit and watch Cutler launch a few deep balls to E-D-D-I-E!!!!!

I really don't see a lot of offense in this game. Just enough to get a win and get out of town!!

GO BRONCOS!!!!!

I expect a lot of offense. The Raiders will know our biggest threat on offense (minus Cutler) isn't playing. I would fully expect them to use the run to set up the pass and launch it. Honestly, I think we'll score 25-30 points.

I too believe it will be Scheff and Jackson doing the damage. The Broncos will come out in two tight end sets alot, and force the defense to decide whether we're going to run the ball, or pass it. Our offense will dictate the pace of the game, and our defense will force them to pass.

When its over and done:

Maybe a big day for Selvin and Andre??

Less is more on Raiders D-line, Only 3 tackles on depth chart (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/09/04/SPVO12O9BJ.DTL&feed=rss.raiders)

maybe a good time to employ the no huddle? I think they need to pound them with Hillis and Pitman until they are beat down which will come early in the first game of the season. Then let Young do his thing..

I agree with you on Hall, I can see Hall getting more carries than Young as well but totally disagree with you on Woodson, in his prime he was maybe in the top 5 for CB's but I wouldn't put him in the top 10 now. Asomugha is slowly getting the attention he deserves, just hope he doesn't get any tonight!
