If Pat Bowlen and Joe Ellis do it right this time, the Broncos can finish 11-5 next year and return to the playoffs.

That's no pipe dream. They not only can, they had better.

Such a transformation is realistic because there was recent precedence.

The 2007 Atlanta Falcons proved that with the right hires, and proper management, a turnaround can happen immediately.

Not "sooner rather than later," or "quickly." The Broncos can return to the postseason immediately. As in 2011.

Bleak as it appears for the local 11, these Broncos are a smooth-running operation compared with the discombobulated state the Falcons were in three years ago.

Yep, turnarounds can happen in the NFL more quickly than any other league. They just have to make the right hires.

And that is the million dollar question.

Denver seems to always be behind that turnaround curve.

And that is the million dollar question.

Didn't they say last time..."We won't give all that power to one person"...I will gladly turn purple holding my breath

Let's hope they make the right hires then.
