I want to keep this going here: I copied it from BC:

Send cards to our soldiers
This sounds like a great idea, and something we can all do:

This is one of the neatest things I have seen yet...and so easy.

If you go to the web site www.letssaythanks.com you can pick out a thank
you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that
is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it
will go to some member of the armed services.

It is FREE and it only takes a second. The cards were created by young
children around the U.S. They are adorable. Wouldn't it be wonderful
if the soldiers received a bunch of these?

I sent mine, now you send one too!!

I have added the following website, which was a request from Squints.

The following from rcsodak

More help for our soldiers.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't know if anybody else has seen this....but I saw a rerun of Glen Beck tonight and he was talking with a guy about this.
There's a website, here where you can go to divvy up a donation towards these 'fillers' for the military helmets. They cost appx $71 for a kit, and are flying like hotcakes. Hell, even Cher donated some bucks toward the cause.....
The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center's (DVBIC) funding has been cut in half - from $14M to $7M, so they're needing money from us.

They slide into the sides/front/back of the helmets to keep them snug against the head. Don't know how many here have actually had to wear helmets, but they're anything BUT snug.

Check the site out.......our guys/gals will thank you. http://operation-helmet.org/

Carol,
I am participating in this organization and it is awesome! I have been corresponding with my GI for a couple of years. He's been in Iraq for almost 4years and he finally got to go home to his family for good last week, just in time for Christmas. He told me what an incredible difference penpals make to the guys and gals serving in the armed forces. He asked that I pass the word on to all my friends, family, acquaintances to please continue our support to those serving overseas.
