Any other week...
this would have been huge news.

As it is... everyone is like... eh, so what?

We have some shmoe let go by Baltimore kicking tomorrow.

What a week.

Josh fired.
Stud hired.
Cox sired.
Prater tired.

Just another day in the life of Joe Bronco...

Ravage!!!
12-11-2010, 07:13 PM
why is Prater out?

PAINTERDAVE

Strained groin...

Ravage!!!
12-11-2010, 07:20 PM

That answers the question on which kicker do I play tomorrow.

It's entirely possible that his groin is now strained after all.

I agree. Any other time I'd be concerned and worried. But this week has turned in to such a joke that I really don't care.

Just ready for the offseason. But like always I'll be watching. :elefant:

Wait, so we've got an Interim Head Coach nicknamed Stud, a Cox in trouble and a kicker with a worn groin?

Maybe we should hire Ron Jeremy as our Strength & Conditioning Coordinator!

If he ends up in prison I don't think it's going to be his groin that's strained!

There MUST be some way to get Dick Butkus on this staff!

Back in the day... I was the commisioner in our fantasyt league.

Long before it was popular... we are talking..
a decade from about 1989 to 1999....

I used to add up the players scores
BY HAND FROM THE NEWSPAPER STATS.

back then... we had a few things to make it easier.

QB - you got the whole QB squad for any team you picked.

I had John Elway... but if he went down I'd get the credit for Kubiak coming in as well.

Same with Kickers. If Prater goes down or out... you get his back up.

Just two rules we all voted on and made it more fair and fun.

"Fair for one is fair for all."

Our league was called..

KNUCKLEHEAD FOOTBALL.

Some of my high school buddies still have the league going.

I dropped out when I realized there was more to life than living and dying with a fantasy team.

It was fun for a decade though.

In a decade... I won our Superbowl 3 times...
my Dad won it twice.
They were happy when we left.

My team? The Sidewinders.

I also had a team in another league for 3 years.

Memories....

Getting scores and stats by hand brings back memories. Hell, this is my 25th year in my main redraft league. There were no magazines, web sites or anything. You drafted from your gut and a hand written list that took you hours to make.

Well, that would just about bring it full cycle. Everything else has happened. The
only thing that hasn't has been a Broncos football player becoming somebody's

Someone mentioned that he's looking at dual felony assault charges, one of which carries a possible life sentence. We've had former Broncos in prison, such as the UFL's Maurice Clarette, but...this has to be a blow for McDaniels as much as the organization, after all he did draft Cox and said that he was about character! But alas it may soon be true, Cox could end up being a prison ***** through and through.

Nah. Not sticking up for McDaniels at all but Cox was a first round talent and McD picked him late as a chance guy. He's played real well for a rookie at that position. I hoped that he would stay clean but kinda knew he wouldn't.

Oh.... and Mrs Topscribe must be waxing it.

I can see your point, but after all the preaching about character, then you look at the deceptiveness, the issues of integrity. After all, those who supported his trades of Cutler and Marshall, people said that they were questionable characters...well, in my opinion McDaniels had no reason to preach such nonsense do what he did and then draft Cox who had issues as well. I'd have still risked a pick on him, but I wouldn't have been stating we're going to be about character when those I draft and as well as myself are far from perfect character-wise ourselves - 'Pot meet Kettle'!

Oh.... I agree big time!

McD wanted to talk about character?? All he needed to do is look in the mirror to find a big friggen character. And not a very good one at that.

Who would you have waived?

Had to get a kicker... he'll probably score 50% of our points today.
