why? i seriously ask you why would any coach come in and dismantle the offense other than qb

oline is solid with either a zbs or pbs...moreno showed something

my point was what josh did wasnt the norm..it was beat up and down

you dont take the young and upcoming offense and destroy it when the defense was clearly the issue

no new coach..none!!!! will come here after this debacle and start to randomly strip good talent just because the former coach brought them...if they have talent they stay

royal, llyod, thomas and decker are all talented wrs that could play in any system...gaff is out

the entire oline is molding together in what ever way we run and will be solid other then hochstein and baptists

grahm is a solid block nearing the end of his contract...quinn or gronkowski are nothing

qb is the only isssue

on defense it was a joke when mcd got here...its even worse now

bailey is at the end of his contract
mays...doom...haggen...cox...dj..ayers is the core of the defense which will be build up around them

Nope. I'm positive they already have an interim coach lined up. They wouldn't have announced it otherwise.

As for McD's firing, it was a sound business decision. We weren't winning any more games under McDaniels, so we can lose out under the interim coach and not be any worse than we would have been.

Plus, the players weren't playing for McD anymore, but for their future team. At this point, it only helps their position for the next year. Any lapse in performance can be explained by upheaval, while increased performance only helps them more.

This is a win win for everyone with the Broncos organization except if their last name is McDaniels.

This will get buried in the thread, but I'm here to eat my crow (if you could even call it that) about Josh certainly surviving this season and probably next as well.

Granted, I obviously didn't see Spygate II coming, and I also didn't think we'd come close to being 3-9. Both of those were totally unacceptable.

At the time I said that, I was anticipating at least an 8-8 season.

But he's been pretty bad since then and deserved to be fired at this point.

So for my saying that he wouldn't be fired, I was wrong, very wrong.

We're kind of screwed though for the near future I think, unfortunately.

Maybe...but, the league may step in and protect the team somewhat because obviously Bowlen has had his say and McDaniels is gone. It's possible, but then again...we could see McDaniels fined more for lying and actually banned from the NFL, that's happened twice before I believe.

Not a good time to be a Broncos fan.

I guess. McD's obviously got to shoulder a lot of the blame for his bad decisions, but I feel like Pat Bowlen is the one who has steered us into the ditch. He made a 31 year old offensive coordinator the commander in chief, he let Shanahan make bad decisions in free agency for 3-4 years too long, he's the one who is all over the place in the media telling us that McD will be back in 2011, then saying he'll be evaluated after the season, and now canning him with 4 games left...

Lame as it sounds. I was never so pissed at McD as last night with Moreno running hard and the score 6-10 with 7 minutes plus left in the game and he calls three straight passes. Orton was obviously off, and Josh called his number three straight incomplete and punt. It was some kind of ah'ha moment for me, because I've been a supporter all along and suddenly I was yelling at my computer for his ass to be fired.
Now this....
ok. I'm looking forward to a top 5 pick and next season..

You have no idea how ******* happy this makes me. I now have renewed hope for the Broncos. Please hire a worthy coach and don't be so quick to give him so much power Mr. Bowlen. Glad to see you still care about this franchise and made this move.

Christmas came early this year. A bright spot on an otherwise horrible season. Let's get someone in here who can take a few years and lead this team back into glory.

Then on top of it, with 3 minutes left and 4th and 5, he punts the ball. Our defense had been playing weel, but what chance did they really have on stopping the Chiefs from getting that 1st down.

He was playing "not to lose" instead of trying to win.

Well, in his defense, I think we had converted like two 3rd downs all day. The probability of us making it on 4th were slim. If he goes for it then people wonder why he doesn't give the defense a chance to win the game.

I would rather we went for it too, but I think he was damned no matter what decision he made.

Well yea, when has Orton ever come up big, but I still rather have a guy go for it than to kick it away and hope the defense comes up big (at least with our defense anyway).

Any other day I agree and say it's a no-brainer... But the way that game had been going, I can't entirely blame him for asking his D to win him the game.

Plus, you don't expect to get completely boned by the ref on an inadvertant premature whistle two players earlier.
