"All of a sudden, you look back at the teams even three years ago, not a lot of players are left. You wish you could have the same players on the team, but at the same time some guys want to leave, some guys have to leave. It's just the way the business is these days."
This is a polite way to describe the personnel upheaval that accompanied the transition in coaching regimes from Mike Shanahan to Josh McDaniels, but it is as much the quality of the new players as the quantity that leaves the Broncos at 3-8 entering today's game in Kansas City.
