Of course for you NTL :D - for those who can not listen:

This week on The John Elway Show:

Broncos Hall of Fame Quarterback John Elway joins Vic & Gary Fridays at 8 a.m. to discuss the Broncos, the NFL and sports in general. On Dec. 3, Elway joined Vic & Gary to discuss the Broncos game against St. Louis, the details of orchestrating a two-minute drill, who he thinks has had the greatest impact on the Broncos under Pat Bowlen's ownership, whether he would like to have a daily role with the Broncos and his opinion on Spygate II.

He said in the interview that he's not qualified to be the #1 personnel guy, but he could find that #1 guy easy enough. With that said, GET ELWAY ON BOARD, BOWLEN!

Cliff's notes for those of us stuck at work? Pretty please.

* Complimented the offense for their furious 4th quarter comeback.

* Commented on how the rush and Chris Long made it difficult to continue -
that QB needs to count on having to run around and buy time in such
situations.

* Was disappointed the Broncos didn't kick deep instead of onside - said very
few are successful in late game onsides - deep kicks give better field position
lucky that punt was partially blocked.

* Experience needed to pick good talent in draft * FAs - is an art. Takes a
"knack" to spot intangibles inexperienced people will not spot.

* Said he didn't have the experience to make the choices, but felt he could
contribute in a discussion "forum" - said better choices can be made if
several voices were involved.

* Would consider becoming involved with FO in certain capacities, but not
out front - more in contributory capacities.

This does my heart good. I want the guy involved heavily, but I want him to be an ass kicker, not a talent evaluater.

I love him so much.

The dude has good mojo.. we need that... In his time with the broncos he was part of every possible team scenario you could possibly think of. Good abd bad. that type of experience would help shape an FO for the better -- especially a rudderless one..

I don't like the stench of "the Patriot way", I want to be the Broncos again and who better to help make this happen than Mr. Bronco himself. I would love to see Elway involved with the Broncos again.

I'd be happy with that.

Even if his influence leads to Mcd's termination?

If we aren't a drastically better football team in 2011, I'll be fine with McDaniels termination no matter what the circumstances. I wouldn't worry about it before then though. From the sounds of it, Josh and John have a good working relationship and play golf together fairly frequently.

probably why his coaching sucks, he's playing too much golf.

Elway has played the game, and is a HoF QB, that admits that he can't be a HC. McD, take note.

Elway deserves a piece of Broncos. I am sure that he would be a great owner and mentor to this organization.
