View Full Version : We need a new banner before the season starts
Ok, we have been talking about it almost since the season ended, but we still have a banner with at least one player (Elam) that should be removed, and probably should have some more of the young talent.
I was going to hire someone and had him provide some samples first, but didn't receive very positive feedback (those banners are ).
I can try hiring someone else, but one way or another it would be nice to have a new banner up when the season starts.
I have no graphical talent so I either need some of you to submit designs or I need to hire someone.

I was always up for doing this, but it seems like you guys went a different route before. Heck, I have some banners already done that I'd just have to edit and put in the players people actually want to see on there. Cutler, Marshall -- (obviously) -- I just need a little guidance on this.

It would be great. The more banners posted, the better. Either one of them most will love, or people can say, "I like xxxx from that one, but the xxxx from that one"

This isn't edited from before, but I thought I'd just show it again.
Obviously, the players in it could definitely be changed, but I do like Cutler as a focus and the general theme.

Ok, Dream and Mastershake have posted possible banners. Anyone else? Any suggestions/input for them based on what they posted?
I would like to have a new banner up prior to the opening day weekend.

i like the one dream posted. . . i think the "for the fans, by the fans" slogan needs to be bigger, and i think it might look better if the 27 and the 29 were on opposite ends. . . but other than those little details, it looks good to me. . . oh, and maybe dumervil, dj, marshall or clady instead of chef-- i love the guy's potential and ability, but he's not even a starter. . .

1) Current Offensive Stars
2) Current Defensive Stars
3) Stars of The SB teams
4) Stars of The Past.

That was the original plan, but nobody liked the sample design I had an outside guy do, and then member created banners kind of died.
I think if we come up with a standard banner we like, then whoever made it should be able to mak the variations like you list above.

That sounds good. I like the format of the one Dream posted. Maybe we could vote on the 5 players in each Banner. The following players make since too me as the focal player in each banner.
1) Current Offensive Stars (Cutler)
2) Current Defensive Stars (Champ)
3) Stars of The SB teams (Elway)
4) Stars of The Past. (Floyd Little)

I know why..cause its awesome! Just kidding. I am wondering if anyone is interested in a legends banner (ie Elway, Rod Smith, Atwater, etc) so we don't have to worry about player turnaround, or one without any players and just a really cool logo design. I'll post some by wed.

Why not have a contest for the members? Give them until this weekend to complete a banner for submittal, then start a poll and let the members vote on who wins. You can have the poll end on Sunday (Sept 7) and put up the winner on Sunday or Monday before the game. The winner could be given a prize or something...maybe a gift cert or something. Obviously you would have to make the banners anonymous on the poll so there is no favoritism.
It would be cheaper than hiring someone to come up with something that the members dont like. Plus it would be fun for everyone.

Tned, maybe you should just put in one of the banners that has already been
posted for the interim until a more permanent option can be decided upon.
I think the one Dream posted in this thread is fine for now...it has a mix of legends with current players...
I will put up a poll, with examples of the options we have and let it run until Sunday and then put up a new banner Sunday night or Monday, well before the game.

If you want to stay with a legends banner only, you could have Elway in the middle, and then on each side, legend players rotating.
