Broncos secondary getting healthier
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 28, 2010 9:33 AM ET
The Broncos defense was below average to begin with.
Take away Elvis Dumervil, Robert Ayers, Brian Dawkins, Andre Goodman, Wesley Woodyard, and Darrell McBath, and you get 328 rushing yards allowed to the Raiders.
If nothing else, the Broncos secondary should be in better shape as they head to London for Sunday's game against the 49ers. Dawkins and Goodman are both expected to return to the starting lineup according to the Denver Post after practicing fully for a second straight day on Wednesday.
The team will likely lose cornerback Perrish Cox, though, who was in the locker room with sunglasses on for a second straight day following a concussion last week. (Cox can't even remember the game against Oakland.)
Ayers (foot), Woodyard (hamstring), and McBath (ankle) have already been ruled out. Wide receiver Eddie Royal's status is uncertain because of a groin injury that has kept him out of practice.
