my numb spot. After throwing expletives around, I've finally just started laughing. After the pic6, I said "now it's time for a fumble"....FUMBLE. I laughed. When they kicked off to ST, I said "another fumble?" FUMBLE! *dang....denver got it back*

I guess Moss was being prophetic when he said the loss to NYJ was going to "make or break" them.

This is gut-check time, and we'l' see what the team is made of, both attitudinal and character wise.

When, if ever, have the Broncos had a 4-17 stretch? I'm too lazy to look but I think it might tell us something about where we are at right now.

I got there to Mike. I got to a point where I was like "**** it, I'm gonna watch the rest of the game just so I can see the worst Broncos performance of my lifetime".

Not sure, but the last time Denver finished with less than 6 wins is 1990. Before that, there was a very poor stretch from 72' on back. This is the worse we have been in a VERY long time.

I pretty much share this sentiment. I was absolutely shocked and how quickly things got out of hand for us. I have never seen something like that happen before.

This loss hurts really bad, but the sting will subside.

Frankly, I was more pissed with the Sooners. ******* Missouri? Seriously?

Beaten by the 2nd worst HC (hawkins) in the Big12? :puke:

Wow how time flew by.....last I checked we still had 9 games to play this year. I guess that roofy mtn_man slipped in my drink erased the rest of the season.

I'm not numb, I'm just sick of it. I don't mind tough losses with a team that fights whistle to whistle every game, but this team isn't even doing that. I just want a team that will go out swinging. This team skulks out with it's tail between it's legs, at home!

Can anyone name a star player in our front 7 other than the one that's out for the season? What about the Oline? Clady when he's healthy, that's it. So of the 10 players on the line of scrimmage, we have 1 stud. That recipe equals failure in the NFL.
It's about time for someone to come into Dove Valley that recognizes that fact.

Imagine what it must be like to be a cowboys fan right now. Talk about a complete collapse. They were expected to go to the super bowl. They ARE 1-5!!!!Wade Phillips was a huge mistake. So Jerry Jones and Bowlen have both made some bad choices in coaches. Which coach has been the biggest disappointment, Wade or Josh?

See, but they are fresh off playoff appearances for a few years. Down years happen. Their players get older and with FA many players dont stay forever anymore. Denver hasnt been to the playoffs in 5 years. It all happens in cycles in the NFL.

Like SD. Im not sayign their season is done, but we ALL KNEW (and I said it many tiems before) they wouldnt be annual AFCW champs forever. I always said either Den or KC would knock them down. Unfortunately it seems KC is poised.

Good point. I forgot about that. Having wade as DC would be great, but he is never going to be a good head coach

Are all time worse stretches:

From week 7 of 1960 through the 1961 season, were 3-18-1.
From week 10 of 1962 through week 2 of 1965, we were 4-29-2.
From week 5 of 1965 through week 10 of 1966, we were 4-16.
From week 13 of 1966 through week 3 of 1968, we were 3-15.
From week 4 of 1970 though week 4 of 1971, we were 2-11-2
From week 13 of 1971 though week 12 of 1972, we were 3-11
From week 7 of 2009 through the present, we are 4-17

Connecting the 2 stretches from week 10 of 1962 through week 10 of 1966, we were 10-45-2.
Connecting the 3 stretches from week 10 of 1962 through week 3 of 1968, we were 15-50-2
Connecting the 2 stretches from week 4 of 1970 through week 12 of 1972, we were 7-21-2
