I wanted to start a thread for those soccer fans out there who want to talk about the USMNT. We have a game coming up at Chicago's Soldier Field vs. Brazil that is being billed as the "Clash of Champions" with both countries winning their regional tournament. The game is Sept. 9th at 3pm CT. GO USA!

GO USA!We don't here too much about US soccer here... We only hear a bit about Brazil or Argentina....

Of course, now that Beckham plays with the Galaxy, there are some updates... But well... He doesn't seem that he makes miracles right now...

IMO your championship needs to grow up... It would help to develop more your national team...

US Soccer is a joke. As long as Gulati and Bradlet, etc are running things it will always be a joke. I'm tired of seeing bright young talent come up in college, only to see the same old relics thrown on the field all the time.

My parents are both Italian/Americans and root for Italy to the fullest every four years...Personally I can't stand some of the BS flopping and acting the Italians spew during the world cup..So I don't care for them much.

I was happy for my parents in 2006 when Italia took it all in the world cup, but GO USA!!! BEAT Those dirty Brazilians!

Congrats to USA :salute: - I don't think anyone expected them to get to the Championship Game

This isn't about the national team, so maybe this isn't the right thread...

But this is a pretty interesting article on why Beckham to the Galaxy really hasn't worked out... Landon Donovan basically thinks he's a punk:
