Many people complain about the preseason being too long, but I love watching, well listening to the Broncos on the internet radio during the preseason...

maybe an analogy for why I love it is in order, let's say you are a man on a deserted island for a few years, and then you are rescued, the first female you see would look pretty good, no matter how haggish.

Only if it's the Broncos. I'll watch other teams but it usually bores me. I like watching the Broncos in the preseason just to see the rookies and new acquisitions on the field.

The first few... after awhile though you get a general idea. I don't think four pre-season games are really necessary.

I like watch pre-season but it should only be 2 or 3 games at most. 4 games (5 for the hall of fame game teams) is WAY too long. I obviously enjoy watching the Broncos games more than any of the others, but I watch a few just to see who has some good young talent. See if there's any players that I had my eye on in the draft and how they're doing.

The 4th one is kind of a throw away game...

Should be between the mascots, IMO.

Pretty much the same talent level after the second quarter. :D

like watching paint dry after they take out eh starters is is meaningless for both HC just trying to see if the scrubs can hold their water..

just slightly better than watching baseball on TV..

If it's the broncos.....and they are on tv........I have to watch it....even though it's preseason.

I would not pay to go to a preseason game though...

I would not call it meaningless, Those guys who come in after the starters are the guys your going to have to depends on when somebody goes down. I like watching to see the depth of my team. Good depth is always good.

I don't like preseason as much as the regular season, because whether or not the team wins or loses is less important than evaluating multiple players at multiple positions.

However, I still look forward to them and watch all the Broncos preseason games that are televised.

I would rather have a 20 game regular season and no pre-season games, but that will never happen (not to mention screwing up tons of historical stat categories).

Games 2 and 3 are probably the best. Game 4 of pre season totally blows. I'm always so glad when it ends.

Ditto. Game 2 is usually pretty good, and Shanny usually leaves his offensive starters in the game until sometime in the 3rd quarter in game three, to get them used to and see how they do coming out after half time.

I would watch the BRONCOS, if they showed the game here in NODAK. Are there any games on ESPN or NFLN, looked like they are all played on CBS in Denver? I don't mind watching other teams as long as I don't have anything going on but I like watching football regardless whether 1st team or 3rd team is playing because I do love the game.

If the timing's right then probably, but I ain't sitting up 'til 5am and booking a day off work like I would for SNF/MNF football ;)

Love them, rarely do I miss listening, if not watching the Broncos preseason games.

There is something interesting about watching what is behind the first string and looking for that diamond in the rough. At least for me, it keeps it more interesting than the meaningless outcome.

Aug. 16th Broncos vs Cowboys is on NFLN LIVE, so is the Broncos vs Cardinals game. Also, all games will be re-aired on NFLN at some time.

Here's the COMPELTE schedule for ALL of the pre-season games showing on NFLN and when they show.

I thought this one was game 3 get them tuned up for the start of the regular season and then rest them in game 4 let the nicks and bruises heal up.

Something about watching hackney and ramsey play instead of Jay.

Sure some of the games you get to see the 3rd and 4th stringers but unless the world beaks the chances of them seeing meaningful time during a real game are slim and NADA..

Plus they are playing against the other teams scrubs, so you get very little meaningful out of it.. other than it is almost football, it is a total waste of time..

You just have to have an appreciation for the sport. I used to find it boring too but after spending a year with my HS baseball team keeping the stats for them and just learning more about the game, I can't get enough of it! Heck I watch the Jon Lester no-hitter on my computer over live sporting events sometimes! :D

Oh yeah. Other than the once a week NASCAR race(which i hardly ever watch anymore) and a occasional golf tourney, there's really nothing else sports wise i like to watch.

The regular season is so short and the off season is sooo long. The pre-season is my quick fix to hold me over till week 1, and not a minute to soon.

SB MVPs are born in the pre-season.

True, even though it's two teams I couldn't care less about, I'm pretty stoked for the Hall of Fame game tonight just to get a little taste of football.

Same here! After watching a bit of Golf on the tube, I'll either break out the Wii or head to the course.

Only to return home totally frustrated.

Lol well mine was on a 747 jet. Only thing i hate is how late the draft is after the season ends. Thats another topic though.

I watch all the Broncos preseason games, gotta love being in Colorado :D I also watch several other preseason games. For 1, it's football and I've been missing it for MONTHS. 2, it helps for finding some sleepers for fantasy football. I got a steal on Jones-Drew in something like round 20 when he was a rookie.

Yes, I like watching preseason games. It lets you see if someone has potential or not. It also signals the official end of the sports dearth that begins in June. It also signals the return of football. If you asked me if I wanted to watch a pre-season game in December I would tell you I'd rather play with some empty glue bottles.

I'll watch NFL football at any time of the year, even preseason......between 24, Deadliest Catch and Myth Busters repeats, Hockey and a few other things (psst......it rhymes with Porn) there is a lot of free TV time to fill.

I'd rather tickle a Lions balls than watch the crap on regular TV these days......
