This is a rather random thread, but now with Rod Smith and Jason Elam now gone, I believe that makes Tom Nalen the last remaining link to our two Super Bowl teams. Will be a sad day indeed whenever he leaves.

Just like life, time to move on.

There will be more SB winners on this team.

I know, I just thought it was interesting that he's the last one left.

Lepsis was a rookie on the second Super Bowl team, but I'm not even sure he played.

He didn't. And since he's retired now also he wouldn't count anyways.

Does not matter to me much. That was 10 years ago. How many teams have players from 10 years ago on there team playing at an high level? Its just a new generation.

It was just a little fun fact which I thought was cool. That is all.

Yeah i think its cool also. Can you imagine how sorry we would be if everybody from 10 years ago was on this team? Talk about old and slow with no future....

Some of us do care about the history of the team we root for.

No one expects them to play forever. I think you missed the point of this thread. It was just made to point out a cool fact and to salute Nalen on lasting this long.

Was not responding to your thread wit that last post. It was simply to ther remark that some of us care about our teams history....

Nice little fact to know.
We certainly appreciate their contributions to the Broncos organization.

You have to look back and realize the accomplishments of the players and coaches that achieved great things for any sports organization, rather than just plow them under like a farmer plows his field every season. Heck, I guess that I'm showing my age (and I don't care) but I still hold players from the '73 FIRST winning season in high regards, as well as that magical '77 season. Guess you just had to live through it, and as we get older these things take on more importance to us and hold a very special place in our hearts as well as Bronco history.

Nice of you to acknowledge Tom Nalen like you did, Bailey. :salute:
