Television analyst Shannon Sharpe, center. (Ezra Shaw, Getty Images)The protection order hearing against former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe has been "voluntarily dismissed," according to the Fulton County Superior Court.

Michele Bundy, who was granted a temporary restraining order by the court against Sharpe earlier this week and has been representing herself, withdrew her complaint Wednesday.

Sharpe had taken a leave of absence from CBS as NFL analyst until the matter is resolved. CBS is expected to make a statement on Sharpe today.

Denver-area acquaintances of Bundy were alarmed but not overly surprised upon hearing the news she had taken legal action against Sharpe.

"My first reaction was: 'Oh, my God, this woman is trying to put the screws to this guy,' " Troy Holocker of Denver said. "Everyone knows this is a lie. This is what the woman went out to do. To hear this woman drag his name through the mud made me mad."

In the petition filed in the Fulton County court earlier this week, Bundy alleged that Sharpe threatened her life and forced her into sex. Attempts to reach Bundy were unsuccessful. Sharpe has not been arrested or charged with a crime.

"She's been infatuated with Shannon Sharpe for years to the point I think she was kind of stalking him," Thayne Davis of Roxborough said. "She moved to Georgia to be closer to him. She has some insane idea in her head that he's going to be in a relationship with her."

Davis and his wife recently allowed Bundy and her daughter to live in their Roxborough home for a few months. However, Davis said Bundy had overstayed her welcome at their home and was ordered to leave in late-June.

"We had to get the police to escort her out," Davis said. "She was fabricating stories against me too."

Davis said Bundy had lived in Denver for several years, including a stretch when she worked for a television station. Bundy met Sharpe, Davis said, during a time when she was granted media credentials to the Broncos' games and locker room at designated interview times. Davis said he occasionally accompanied Bundy as a photographer.

Bundy lived in New York for about five years, Davis said, then returned this year to the Denver area before recently moving to the Atlanta area.

"She sold everything she had, bought an RV and moved out to be close to Shannon Sharpe's house," Davis said.

He was never charged with anything. Charges were not dropped, just the protective order.

I understand that you're 24 posts into what will surely become an illustrious, if not notorious, career here at these boards. However, please realize we have a smack forum for retarded and childish comments such as the one quoted above. If not, I am sure you will be handled appropriately. I would hate to see that happen because it is always nice to have a dummy bag around here to kick the snot out of at will.

Have a great day :hi:

I doubt he paid her off. It sounds like she is a loon. With the comments from the acquaintences it doesn't sound like she would have gotten very far.

And the really horrible thing is that this freaking looney bin used the laws blindness to create this kind of media nightmare on his reputation. She should be prosecuted.

She got media credentials? Does that mean she could go into the Broncos locker room while stalking Shannon Sharpe? I guess Clinton Portis might have been right about women in the media.

Come on JR - From article TKO posted:

Michele Bundy, who was granted a temporary restraining order by the court against Sharpe earlier this week and has been representing herself, withdrew her complaint Wednesday.

Now, if this was REALLY TRUE - why would she want to represent herself??????
