Orton under pressure.
Three Broncos made their NFL debuts in starting roles on the offensive line: center J.D. Walton, left guard Stanley Daniels and right tackle Zane Beadles. Walton and Beadles became the first rookies to start the season opener at their respective positions in team history.
"I think the guys up front played hard. I think they weren't overwhelmed at all," quarterback Kyle Orton said.
Still, Orton found himself under plenty of pressure. The Jaguars were credited with three sacks and 11 quarterback hurries.

Hopefully Jax is much improved on the D line since last year. If not it could be a long season for Denver's o-line in pass protection.

1 sack was on clady but he is like 85%, another sack was on clady but was actually Stanley daniels fault, the other was on beadles but orton held the ball to long.....most of the QB pressure came from beadles and kuper on the RT and daniels at LG, for the most part based off circumstances it was better than i thought, walton got a few wake-up calls but knighton is no small task he is a very good DT........i saw enough positives to feel comfortable about the direction and chances down the line and over the course of the season....

I saw nothing to make me feel liked we are F'ed all year for sure.....

Niether have I, just not sure what to think when Jax was able to apply so much pressure being they were one of the worst in the league at pressure and sacks just a year ago.

Yeah but Jax has always had good DT's dating back to stroud its there ends that were a issue, and Kampan is a beast at DE when healthy always has been most DC's will tell you that........and kampan got to go against a 85% clady a rookie LG who has never played a game and a rookie RT who didnt play but a few snaps there all pre-season......

we all knew there would be kinks to work out on the OL.....but i dont think were close to screwed.....screwed is what Pitt/Dalls/Washington/Philly/Detroit/Chicago/KC/Oak are.....we aint even near that point.....

and we were pretty horrible at getting to the qb the year before nolan, sometimes players just play better in new enviorments or new years......

I think they were so embarrassed because of last years ranking they drafted and traded to upgrade the DL.

last year's jags didn't have kampman or alualu, and kampman's the guy that did most of the damage. . . i'm not a bit surprised we had problems with him. . .

I think you're going to see some interesting stuff from us on Sunday. This Chris Clemons kid we picked up from Philly has showed some real pass rushing skills. I'm looking forward to seeing what he's going to do against a stud like Clady.
