18 — Denver: I prematurely pegged Jay Cutler as my preseason pick for MVP last season, insisting the second-year man would lead Denver to the postseason and past the Chargers for the AFC West crown. In truth, Cutler had a fine sophomore season, but was by no means an MVP candidate, with the Broncos finishing a disappointing 7-9 and missing the postseason. Denver should be better this year, but there are definite question marks on defense. Jim Bates is gone as coordinator, though, and highly regarded Bob Slowik takes over. Expect big things from second-year men Jarvis Moss and Marcus Thomas. Both former Gators are going to need to perform if Denver hopes to return to the postseason for the first time since 2005. Camp: Englewood, Colo.

Yeah i guess we cant expect people to rank us high after being gashed last year on defense. Were going to have to prove ourselves

Still makes me sick to see the Broncos behind Houston in a preseason power poll, no matter what the standings and matchups suggested last season. Usually we play well as an underdog and hopefully we can exceed expectations this year.

I think thats pretty close to what they should be ranked at this present time. I actually just finished doing a ranking and had the Bronc's at 17. Now ask me again when the season starts and we see them in action in camp and preseason, I think they will be higher on that list, but theres no reason to move them up yet.

folks we live a die by what the Broncos do following every move they make.
Hey do these folks try to to keep up on 32 teams plus some college stuff. so they have a better overview of the league than we do..

Perhaps not as detailed.. but in general terms better..

I think from what I know that WAS(new HC) GB(no QB) and maybe TPA are rated a bit stronger than I would have rated them but the rest look pretty solid to me..

HOU has been drafting well and has a good to excellent coaching staff.. they may be sleepers this year..

I agree with you totally. I ranked the Texans right along with the Broncs
