E.D. showed a great ability to get open over the middle. What a great weapon
for our offense!

Like anything, hard to jude in the preseason but if Decker can stay healthy I think he will be a great weapon. I'd love to see him in some trip or five wide sets. He really was a bright spot of that game for me, though.

The new Eddie Mac. I think this kid is the real deal. Can't wait to see Thomas and Decker out there with Royal.

Everytime he caught the ball, i was waiting for him to just lay there grabbing his leg. Pleasantly suprised to see him get up everytime without a limp!
Just hope he stays healthy.
And yes i wanted him long ago, although Chaz and i had many a discussion about his injury history.
He was well known as "Mr. Hands" at MIN.

I'm glad he made some plays but I think the big story is he didn't get hurt again. Staying healthy has been his issue.

It came against scrubs but i really enjoyed watching him play. I hope he can do that in real time.

LOVE the kid since college. He is known to have great hands and run sharp routes. Plus, his speed isn't bad either and has great size. He just needs to stay healthy, and if he does, he is a GREAT weapon to have.

he missed part of one season due to a foot. a part of a few games for various reasons.

But other than that he seems to be a the real deal.

Until I watched the game yesterday I was unable to see him get open and make catches the DET crew that was on the internet feed had no clue.

5 yard reception in the first quarter with dink dung Orton,
61 yards in the second half...

61 yards in one half is hardly disappearing. Next your going to tell me Brady Quinn was NFL Pro Bowl level last night as well.

If Decker can stay healthy and Thomas pans out, we should be set at WR for a few years.

Next years draft better be all defense. Oh and a return specialist would be nice.

Totally agree. Thomas, Decker, Royal, could be a solid base for a great recieving group. I'm getting excited all over again! Then again, I get excited every year. I should learn to settle down in regards to football.

We may not need to draft another return specailist. Cox has had some nice returns in these first two preseason games.

i dont want a RB in rd 1...i wanta legit back-up option or chnage of pace guy inrds 2 or 3.......buckhalter anint getting any younger or spry....and force feeding moreno 400 carries a year is stupid.....having a legit change of pace guy will do our run game wonders.....

in rd 1 or 2 i want 2 de's or a DE and NT...if we get some extra picks in rds 1-3 i want a ILB and OLB as well

so it would be 2 DE's or a DE and NT
a ILB
a OLB
and a RB in that order for instance....

Don't get me wrong, I wanted Tebow in the draft, I lived in Gainesville, FL for 10 years, (1997-2000 and then 2002-2009), never missed a FL game during Tebow's 4 year stint. The difference is....I am a realist.

Looks like the perfect guy to replace Gaffney as the Y receiver. Also I think people can relax with the injury concerns. Decker's history of injuries has been greatly overstated.

Decker has a long way to go before he can fill Eddie Mac's shoes! It'll be a great feat for him to play all 16 games without being on the bench nursing an injury!!

Again, his injury history is pretty overstated. He missed 5 games in 4 years of college and all but one of those games was the result of the foot injury he is still healing from.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that he missed parts of games always started but got hurt and they sat him for the rest of the game.

But then was the starter the following week. NO great injuries just enough to keep him from finishing the game.

Let's not get carried away.

Maybe my favorite draft pick... I foresee a very effective 3rd WR or 2nd WR (possession type) BUT ... the guy after some reflection bares some resemblance to a WR like Hines Ward. That will require the attitude that Ward has... need to be tough... he is big enough... needs to get stronger though to be that type of WR. He has size, just needs to refine it with a little more weight room training and simple growing up... nothing too dramatic... couple that with some increased nastiness, I think he could be like that. I hope he is! Not sure I can see that happening though first year... lot's to learn for ANY rookie WR let alone a 3rd rd WR. Maybe the other extreme would be a Gaffney like player.

I've been thinking that we need another RB too. May not have a choice but to look long and hard at guys like Evan Royster or Demarco Murray in Round One.

I would love for them to grab the kid from Iowa, Adrian Clayborn, DE, but he might be long gone. Unless of course we have a losing season.

Looking at our defensive lineman, we currently have only one player that we drafted at this position on the roster. Marcus Thomas. Sad part is that he might actually be on the bubble.

OOPS! Sorry for straying off topic.

WR might be one of the few positions of strength we have on the team. If things work as planned, The trio of Royal, DT, and Decker should be pretty formidable in the coming years. If they can remain healthy.

Add in Tebow, if Josh can coach him up like he's sone other QB's, and we'll have a nice offensive foundation for many years to come.
