Former Denver Broncos wide receivers Haven Moses and Mark Jackson are guests on FSN LIVE Wed., July 16 at 10:30 p.m. MT on FSN Rocky Mountain. The two talk about their playing days in Denver and the current state of Denver Broncos football, as well as comment on current Broncos coach Mike Shanahan, quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

Moses played for the Broncos from 1972-81 and is part of the “Ring of Fame” at Invesco Field at Mile High. Jackson was drafted in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Broncos and was with the team until 1992. He caught the winning touchdown pass from quarterback John Elway during “The Drive” in the Broncos victory over the Cleveland Browns during the 1987 AFC Championship Game.

Below are quotes from Moses’ and Jackson’s conversation with FSN Rocky Mountain’s Tim Ring.

Haven Moses

ON BRONCOS FOOTBALL IN THE 1970s – “There were no expectations for us; it was just entertainment for the city. There is a lot more going on now. In 1972 we were not supposed to be good. Back then we were the only big franchise in Colorado. Football was the king. Going out on the field was exciting seeing all the Orange in the old Mile High Stadium. Home games were a treat.”

ON BRONCOS WR BRANDON MARSHALL’S TROUBLE WITH THE LAW – “Brandon is tremendously talented. I just hope Mike (Shanahan) is patient with him, but I think his patience is running out. (Marshall) has to get to the point where he is a pro on and off the field.”

ON BRONCOS COACH MIKE SHANAHAN – “He has proven himself and has endeared himself to the community, but he should not have the open-ended invitation to coach (in Denver) for life. Something has to happen in the next year or two.”

Mark Jackson

ON FORMER QB JOHN ELWAY – “He was a quarterback who could make plays with his feet. He had the ability to scramble and throw the ball. John could throw from one hash mark all the way down to the other side of the field.”

ON BRONCOS WR BRANDON MARSHALL’S TROUBLE WITH THE LAW – “Someone in his life that has some influence needs to step in.”
