Cannot see it here, is it COD5 basically, or an add on pack or what?

They should have stuck with modern warfare.

I think an add on 2 it, downloadable for 30 bucks, hell even 60 would have done better. I really have no need for another game for awhile.

Is this game worth getting for my 9-13 year olds?

It actually isn't too bad of a concept. This one takes place on the Pacific front (though part does go back to Europe), so it's a different experience from the traditional WWII FPS. In an interview, the developers were talking about how the Japanese soldiers valued honor over life, so there'll probably be a lot of suicidal fighters and kamikazes randomly slamming into the ground. It'll be a totally different experience.

I'm excited. The island-hopping strategy of the US could be a fun one with a lot of different environments... and they're using the graphics engine from Modern Warfare, so it should mimic the movements of COD4.

It has mature rating. So depend on how much blood you want them to see, it is violent and very life like.

I agree with Scar. You can always go back and play COD2 or 3.... Or even Medal of Honor series. Keep it modern. The WW2 genre has run it's course. We've already fought in Germany, France and Russia, even the Pacific Theatre.

Totally, they could have really played on the terrorism........or New Cold War etc........ poor choice.

It's going to rock regardless. Quit whining :D

(For the record, I was hoping it would be "modern" as well, but they just don't make bad COD's)

I for one am very happy it is returning to WWII. I love all CoD games, and they nailed the WWII shooter in ways MoH series couldn't.

This and Bungie's new 'secret' Halo project has me on edge.
