Just pulled this off the mane I take no credit in finding it. Guess we will have to wait for it to be announced before its official but this looks pretty bad for him.

From above:

DENVER (MyFOXColorado.com) - A highly-placed NFL source says former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has tested positive again for marijuana.

FOX 31 Sports reporter Josina Anderson learned about the positive test late Thursday night.

That information came from the same highly-placed NFL source that broke news of failed drug tests by both Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams and Henry to FOX 31 in the past.

“He is coming up for a year suspension,” the source told Josina Anderson.

This is the second time Henry is facing a possible one-year suspension from the NFL.

On December 4, 2007, the 29-year-old Henry successfully appealed a previous positive marijuana test result of 21 nanograms/milliliter. Henry’s attorneys demonstrated a lapse in the NFL’s discovery process when the league failed to turn over all of Henry’s test results from within a two-week period of his offending sample.

Steve Zissou, one of Henry’s attorneys at the time, told Fox 31 Sports that Henry had a negative test result four days prior to testing positive as well.

“There are false positives in the world of testing,” Zissou said at that time.

Now Henry faces a long road of defending himself again should he choose to do so.

Henry again can appeal, and has five days after receiving an official notice of violation to make that determination. If his appeal is denied, the one-year-long suspension would be effective immediately.

Henry could file for reinstatement 60 days prior to the end of a suspension.

“I was told this result is recent. [Henry] should already be informed. If he didn’t know, he knows now,” said the source.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said, "We don't comment on reports about drug tests. We just comment on suspensions."

Henry previously served a four-game suspension after violating the league’s substance abuse policy in September 2005 as a member of the Tennessee Titans.

The Broncos signed Henry to a five-year, $22.5 million dollar contract in March 2007, but Henry was hindered by injuries in his only season in Denver.

When a hamstring injury prevented Henry from participating in passing camp in late May of this year, Broncos coach Mike Shanahan cited inconsistency as a reason for cutting him days later in June.

"He's just too inconsistent as a person. When you're too inconsistent as a person, you usually aren't going to win championships," Shanahan said then.

"I'm not going to get into details what he did do or didn't do. You have to do little things. If you don't do the little things, obviously you can't count on somebody. So that's why he's released."

The highly-placed source could not confirm to FOX 31 sports late Thursday night whether the Broncos were aware of another positive test in the pipeline at the time they cut Henry.

“I’m not sure,” said the source.

“The Broncos have no comment,” said Denver Broncos spokesman Jim Saccomano early Friday morning.

Multiple calls to Henry’s agent Hadley Englehard’s office went unreturned. An attempt to reach him again Friday morning went unanswered prior to print.

A call to the cell number Henry possessed at the time he was a Bronco consistently went to voicemail.

What an idiot.

Damn is this shit ever gonna end - WTF is going on with all of these retard pro athletes - I say we cut them all off at the knees then they wont have any $ to buy their drugs etc...i think sports needs to get stricter - no 3 strikes - one strike - youre out - someone in sports needs to curb this bad behavior b4 it gets out of hand - this includes any kind of criminal charge - not just drug charges

If I can go my whole life w/o incurring criminal charges - why cant they - they have a higher standard to live up to, IMHO being in the public eye - these people need to start being held responsible for their actions and they need to lose their job (as I would or most anyone else in the working middle class) if we were found guilty of half of the things these guys are doing

Im getting sick n tired of hearing, everyday, about some sports star being arrested for drugs, rape, assault etc

To be fair this isn't a criminal charge, just a failed drug test. Doesn't lessen the stupidity factor for Henry, but many Americans smoke weed regularly. They just don't have regular drug tests.

I have a feeling that a lot of non-athletes would be in trouble if their jobs tested like the NFL does.

true - as we know i partake - but if i had a job that required me to take tests - i would quit - period - my livelihood - as meager as it may be - is more important to me than any drug would ever be - so if I can abstain for a measly 30k a year why cant these guys abstain for 30k a day

So imo - if you want to do drugs - get a job that doesnt require testing - if you want to make millions - hold off on the drugs until you retire

Its not the fact, so much, that they do drugs, its the fact that they get away with it with a slap on the wrist and it just emphasizes to the youth these days that its ok to do what you want if you have the money to get away with it

Henry needs to get his butt out of Denver! There’s too much temptation. For those of you out side of Colorado, Denver passed a referendum a few months ago that came as close to legalizing pot as you can get.

Its yet another reason i want to move there :D

3. Decriminalization of MJ

But Henry should know (im sure its a stretch to think so though) that just because Denver made it "legal" doesnt mean CO or the USA has - and both trump municipal law

If you do move to Denver you better get a good paying job! The very enlighten liberal city counsel very quietly tacked a bunch of tax increases to the referendum and got them all approved, too!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You got to read those referendums before you vote for them. ;)

When Travis was in trouble with the NFL Shanahan backed him to the hilt. His support even drew a $25 000 fine. Once the case was overturned, Travis was elated and thanked both Shanahan and the fans for supporting him in his time of need.

Travis Henry said that this season he was out to pay Mike and the fans back for standing behind him.

Boy, did I misinterpret what he meant by the words pay back.

His career in the NFL is essentially done. But, he may come back and play a seson or two in the future.

He's been in the league 7 years. He wiill receive a pension for the rest of his life from the NFL. Whether it's enough to cover his children, I would highly doubt it.

I'm sure this isn't the last we have heard of Travis Henry.

Only it will not be positive.. Probably jail time for petty theft and then big crime happens..

Without football to keep him relatively straight he is a street punk..

Probably need to get a pool going on when his next arrest is..

Strange we had someone on here humping him as the next pooorti$$$$$ and TD Saviour of the franchise, like no tomorrow. Those posters have been awfully quiet so far..

Henry is a complete utter moron, and betrayed is certainly a good word to use.

Not only did he turn his back on the team, he turned his back on a coach that seriously went to bat for him and played no small part in him being allowed to play last year.

Besides the way he made Shanny look like a fool for standing up for an obvious dirtbag he also screwed over his teammates, and the entire organization.

We still owe many for that waste's contract that is counting against our salary cap.

Daryl Gardner

I do not hate the clown none of them I just feel they have let a golden opportunity slip through their hands..

Once I found out henry was a scum bag in his personal life that soured me about him even being on the team.. mikey screwed the pooch on this one that is for sure at least he will not cost us money after this year.. Perhaps we can get some of the signing bonus back or removed from our cap.

Don't forget, Shanny personally took a hit($$$) for the guy............

I can't imagine how pissed and let down Shanny feels about this numbnuts

Well it WAS Shanny's decision to sign the guy. However, I can't really blame Shanahan. Travis Henry was the only decent RB in FA last season. Unless Shanny wanted to spend a draft pick on a running back (), then Travis was the best option.
