Correll Buckhalter: Buckhalter expected back next week

Correll Buckhalter - RB - DEN - Aug. 12 - 11:06 pm et
The Broncos expect to have Correll Buckhalter back from his neck/back injury by the second preseason game.
Buckhalter was heading to see a specialist earlier in the week, so he must have received a positive review. Knowshon Moreno is expected be back within a week of Buckhalter. Things should begin looking up in the Broncos backfield by the third preseason game after the dire straits of the past two weeks. Aug. 12 - 11:06 pm et

Good for Buck. Not looking good for Lendale.

He'll just get hurt again. I like Buck but you can't rely on him because he is made of glass.

It will be really good news if Klis knows what he is talking about in regards to Clady back August 30th.

BREAKING BRONCOS:

By Mike Klis
The Denver Post

Denver Post NFL reporter Mike Klis posts his Broncos Mailbag every Tuesday during the NFL season. He'll open up the weekly Mailbag starting this week, during Broncos training camp.

Being deployed in Iraq I am very limited to what Broncos information I can get. I am worried about the status of Ryan Clady. Is there any information I may have missed or is he still on track to be ready at some point this season?
--Adam Reilly, COB Speicher, Iraq

Adam, sometimes no news is good news. Josh McDaniels seems confident, without really saying so, about Clady being ready to play by the season opener Sept. 12.

I would expect Clady back on the practice field around Aug. 30. I don't expect him to play in the final preseason game Sept. 2 at Minnesota.

I also don't expect him to perform at an All-Pro level at any point this season, but a physically hindered Clady can still be better than most left tackles.

More importantly, Adam, safe returns.

I hope they do not rush Clady back too soon.

Moreno will of course start...
and Buck is a stud...
but like someone else said...
Old Buck don't have what it takes to play full time or last all season long.

Fargas will get a shot I think...
especially since White is suspended for 4 games to start the season.

Deal is... we all know...
by week 10...
all three of those backs could be hurt.

The more RB's on the squad... the better.

Who knows...
We could finish the year with Ball and Baker being our guys.

Hillis got his shot 2 years ago because of multiple injuries.
