Can someone post the "broncos insiders look forward to training camp" article please? Its in the broncos live news feed section. My computer is too crappy and slow to view it.

You would be my hero if you could.

TIA

:salute:

If his minicamp showing were any indication, Jay Cutler will be able to thrive despite having diabetes.
Once again, the Broncos appear to be a team in transition.

There are big changes happening in Denver. There will be a new defensive coordinator, Bob Slowik, for the second straight year, a new passing game coordinator (Jeremy Bates, the son of former defensive coordinator Jim Bates), up to six new starters on defense, four new starters on offense and a new kicking game.

Fantasy Update
Tristan Cockcroft breaks down the fantasy prospects for the Broncos. Story
Even with those changes, there is pressure to win in Denver. The Broncos are coming off two straight nonplayoff seasons after going 13-3 and hosting the AFC Championship Game in the 2005 season. They went 7-9 in 2007, marking only the second time in Mike Shanahan's 13 seasons in Denver the Broncos finished below .500. Shanahan is eternally safe in Denver, but the city is clamoring for a winner.

What we learned from minicamp

Jay Cutler looks healthy. A bombshell was dropped on the Broncos in April, when it was discovered their franchise player has Type 1 diabetes, the most serious form of the disease. Cutler will have to take insulin daily for the rest of his life.

NFL.com Video

Selvin Young looks to be a starter after the release of Travis Henry.

Cutler, who had the disease last season but was unaware of it, has regained more than 25 pounds since the end of last season and regained the zip on his passes.

He finished last season sluggish and spent. Now, he is refreshed and healthy. Several professional athletes have proved they can have a successful career despite having Type 1 diabetes. Cutler will still have to adjust to this new lifestyle, but so far, it appears his condition will have minimal adverse effects on him. Thus, the No. 11 overall draft pick in 2006 can now concentrate on taking the next step in his career as he enters his second full season as Denver's starting quarterback.

Still unresolved

The biggest question is who'll get the majority of carries in Denver's traditionally outstanding running game. But this is nothing new. The Broncos have had a different leading rusher in each of the past five years. There is a chance that will change. The team will likely give the starting gig to second-year player Selvin Young, who had 729 yards as a rookie.

Young is a speedster who has ability, but at the University of Texas and last season in Denver, he was hampered by nagging injuries. Shanahan has said repeatedly that Young wears down and is best suited for 10 to 15 carries a game. Thus, the team will want to incorporate rookie Ryan Torain and veteran Michael Pittman. Travis Henry was cut earlier this month because of his lack of commitment to the team, Shanahan said.

The team loves Torain and thinks the fifth-round pick from Arizona State can get in the mix early. Pittman is a strong third-down presence. One thing is for sure: All three of these players will get plenty of action. However, the exact breakdown is unknown heading into camp.

Injury analysis

The Broncos' biggest injury concern is receiver Brandon Marshall, who is recovering from a large forearm gash in his right arm. He suffered the injury in March while playing with his family. Marshall, who suffered nerve damage, has made good progress and started catching soft passes last week.

Marshall said last week he doesn't have full use of his right hand and arm, but he expects to be ready for training camp. Denver needs Marshall to be ready. He caught 102 passes in 2007, becoming only the third player in NFL history to catch 100 passes in his second season. If Marshall doesn't heal, journeyman Darrell Jackson becomes the No. 1 receiver.

Receiving tight end Tony Scheffler is supposed to be ready for camp after suffering a left foot injury last month. Center Tom Nalen had minor surgery on his left knee June 6 but is expected to be ready for camp.

How special will special teams be?

The Broncos will have one of the league's most inexperienced kicker/punter this season. None of the punters and kickers working with the team has significant NFL experience. Heading into training camp, the leading candidates at kicker and punter are Matt Prater and Brett Kern, respectively.

Prater finished last season in Denver and Kern is an undrafted rookie from Toledo. The Broncos have been unsettled in recent years at punter but had one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL in Jason Elam (now with Atlanta).
