Denver had five players selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl with that total tying for its most since 2001 (T-7th overall in club annals)... OL Ryan Clady, named to the Pro Bowl (starter) for the first time, became the 11th tackle in league annals to earn a Pro Bowl selection by his second professional season... Clady was named to the inaugural USA Football/NFLPA “All-Fundamentals” Team as the youngest member (23) to receive the honor... LB Elvis Dumervil earned his first career Pro Bowl selection (starter), becoming the first player in Broncos history to lead the league in sacks with a franchise-record 17... Eleven of Dumervil’s 17 sacks came on third down, tying for the most in a single season in the NFL since at least 1991... LB D.J. CB Champ Bailey was named to his ninth Pro Bowl to tie Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Haynes for the most Pro Bowls at cornerback in NFL history... Royal is one of two players in the NFL (Chargers RB Darren Sproles) to total at least 1,400 yards from scrimmage (1,435) and 1,400 kick return yards (1,696) since 2008... K Matt Prater ended the 2009 season with a field goal in nine consecutive games to set a career high and made 19 of his final 20 attempts... S Darcel McBath led the club with 11 special-teams tackles in 2009 as one of just four rookies to lead their team in that category.

ORTON HAS A HISTORY OF WINNING

Kyle Orton, who joined the Broncos on April 2, 2009 in a trade from Chicago, ranks eighth among active NFL quarterbacks in career winning percentage (.604 / 29-19-0) as a starter among those with at least 40 starts.

In four seasons with the Bears, Orton was 21-12 (.636) as a starter. He was 8-7 as a starter with Denver last year and also saw action in the final three quarters vs. San Diego on Nov. 22.

Orton owns a 19-5 (.792) home record as a starter that ranks third in the NFL among active quarterbacks with at least 20 starts.

DEFENSE LOOKS TO BUILD UPON IMPRESSIVE 2009 CAMPAIGN

The Broncos’ defense finished the 2009 season among the league leaders in several categories, including yards per play allowed (7th, 5.0), yards per game allowed (7th, 315.0) and passing yards per game allowed (3rd, 186.3).

Denver gave up 26 points through its initial four games to tie for the fifth-lowest total given up by a team through that stretch since the 1970 NFL merger.

The Broncos did not allow a third-down conversion in the final two quarters of its games from Weeks 3-6 for a four-game streak that was the longest in the NFL since at least 1992.

BRONCOS OPEN PRESEASON ON THE ROAD FOR 13th CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Sunday’s game in Cincinnati marks the 13th consecutive season that Denver will open its preseason away from home. That streak is the longest in club history with the previous longest occurring from 1992-96 when the Broncos played five preseason openers in a row away from home.

During the last 12 years to begin the preseason, Denver has played 10 road games in addition to competing in the 1999 American Bowl in Sydney, Australia, and the 2004 Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.

Denver’s last home preseason opener was in 1997 when it defeated Buffalo 31-10 at Mile High Stadium. The Broncos have played 18 of 20 preseason openers away from home since 1990.

I didn't think the NFL would stoop so low as too 'black out' a preseason game. IMO, this is messed up:tsk:. I know it's only preseason but I'm anxious to see some BRONCO football, so I hope they don't 'black out' the game on NFL Network. It doesn't look good for you Ohio BRONCO fans!!

I wonder if we will be the only team in a preseason game to ever have a higher attendance at the end of the game than the beginning.
