View Full Version : The Jaguars will regret not signing Tebow!

I hope he gets to play in week one even if it is in a wildcat formation or in the 4th qtr after the score is already a blowout & I hope he scores a TD!

The sports writer for the Jaguars, Vic Ketchman for whatever reason is constantly posting negative stuff about the guy... but Tebow has never said anything negative about him or the Jaguars so I don't get it?

I think its because a lot of Gator fans were very upset that the Jaguars didn't draft him, & they said it was because he wasnt worth drafting!
Then they want the Gator fans to buy Jaguars tickets?

http://forum.jaguars.com/index.php?showtopic=685127

Check out this thread on the Jaguars forum, the Jaguar fans are now brainwashed into saying bad stuff about the guy.

Other threads & posts talk about fighting local Gator fans who will wear Bronco Tebow Jerseys to the game....

Sad I hope the Broncos crush them more than any other team this year!

Wow, really? Tebow mania really is out of control. I heard people at training camp are clapping every time he HANDS OFF THE BALL. that's ridiculous. I like the guy, but damn.

Let me get this straight, your insinuating that there is a conspiracy in Jacksonville by the media to brainwash the local fan base into believing and saying bad stuff about Tim Tebow?

When I heard media guy/former lame LB for the Jaguars Tom McManus had said several times on his show that he believes Tim Tebow could become one of the first true duel position NFL players, I liked it. I mean Tebow as a LB? Bring it. Have you seen the damage he does to the opponent when trying to tackle him?

Tom and I however disagree on Tim not having what it takes to be a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback, but we both love the intensity, strength and toughness Tim has.

Look we get that Tim Tebow has been maligned by the liberal mainstream media at large, I believe it is more for being the ultra conservative radicla that he is, more than anything else. BTW your preching to the chior.

This forum is well aware of Tebow posting numbers similar to both the best RB's and QB's combined coming out of college. We know his prospects as an NFL player are off the charts considering. Unlike other QB's such as Bradford, Tebow can actually read a defense.

At the same time this forum is also well aware of just what a crap shoot the draft can be, and until a player is proven at this level, well everyone is entitled to their opinions of how each player will fare, despite how baseless their claims may be. This is why they play the game and why we have seen the experts getting it wrong, time and time again.

You live in Jacksonville? So do I. I suggest you do yourself a favor and unsubscribe and unplug from the small town take, and expand your mind to the take of the world that exists outside of Jacksonville. There are plenty of live stream AM and FM stations as well as other online media sources to wet your appetite with.

Such as Elephants in the room from 3-5 is pretty good. (http://www.milehighsports.com/Article.asp?id=1582643)

Maybe if you asked nicely you could get the folks in this forum to offer you even more or better live stream venues. Here are some more venues to enjoy info on Tebow's new team.

OMG.. seriously? Tebow at LB? give me a friggin break. Its like watching pre-teens with their WWW wrestling heroes. Its getting so absurd.

Now the media is starting conspiracies, and people want to see him play all 11 positions at once.... when he hasn't succeeded at a single one!!!

Its going to be sad... and I mean this truthfully... when some finally see and realize that Tebow is NEVER going to reach the expectations that they have put on him.

Before you sign Tebow, you have to draft Tebow. The Jaguars didn't draft Tebow and, if they had, most people outside Florida would have seen it as a cynical attempt to increase attendance, not to make the club better.

I, for one, thought the temptation would be too much to resist. The Jags have to tarp over large sections of their stadium just to pretend they are selling out. Drafting Tebow would have doubled their ticket sales with Tebow cultists and curious Gator fans but, for reasons only they know, the Jags didn't bite.

So, it doesn't surprise me at all if a) a lot of Gator fans have a new reason to diss the Jags and b) a lot of Jaguar fans (all 23 of them) resent the Gator fans dissing them so they attack the hero of Gator Nation.

It was a bit of slick marketing for a team that's already orange and blue to draft Tebow and give him #15, openly courting all the Tebow fans in Florida to become Bronco fans. I still have large doubts about Tebow's long-term viability in the NFL but, as a marketing gambit, drafting the guy was golden.

Me thinks you haven't been watching football very long nor knows NFL history.

Although I know you meant dual I can't help but picture Tebow with an old school long pistol dueling it out with Quinn or Orton.

I suggest you go and reread my post.

I never said any such thing.

This was the take of former Jaguars LB Tom Mcdumass' as I call him.

Ever since his comment of "I am not a fan of history", I refuse to listen to the hack, the only reason I knew he had said it was because someone quoted him over in another forum.

Tebows Nike cross-trainer shoes sold out early Friday morning in just 5 minutes.

If you missed the sale you can still by a pair from a collector for $1000 (http://yfrog.com/8bgbij)

Living here in Gainesville, Florida and working at the University, I was one of those hoping Tebow might go to Jacksonville. Just to see the amount of enthusiasm he might generate there, because it is his home town. The Jags could've used it. Living only about 60 miles from the stadium was also a plus.

However, I'm not the least bit disappointed that he ended up with the Broncos. I'm a renewed NFL fan now, and I really like what I'm seeing as I learn about the Broncos players and coaching staff. Waiting for the season to start is killing me.

Oh, and the fans that post on this board are quite a mixed bag.

And just for that microscopic, almost nonexistent, bit of regret. I hope we destroy the Jaguars when we play them.

Really? I wonder what you will say in the first year or second year about the Broncos, Claussen is not that great. What is it that lets you believe Claussen over Tebow?
