If Lebron really wants to take it to another level, then theres only one thing to do.
Go sign with the Celtics, and during the presser when the Celtics announce him as theirs, talk trash about Kobe and the Lakers. Real trash.
This would blow up the NBA to mega status like Bird and Magic did.
The top rivalry in sports, with the two best players pitted against one another.....in which they are talking smack.
No different than two boxers talking spank against one another before a fight. Two GOOD boxers that is.
The Bird/Magic rivalry galvanized the NBA for a decade and beyond. While Kobe/Lebron as Lakers/Celtics rivals would not have the race factor mixed in, it would still generate the interest to mega levels imo.
Kobe: Lebron couldnt hold my jockstrap.

The Celtics and Lakers of the eighties literally fought on the floor numerous times.
Nothing available would make the NBA nor Lebron bigger, should he show himself able to win a title agains the Lakers and Kobe.
