Marshall: Bailey still the Champ among NFL CBs (http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/06/22/marshall-bailey-still-the-champ-among-nfl-cbs/)
Posted: June 22nd, 2010 | Frank Tadych | Tags: Brandon Marshall (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/brandon-marshall/), Miami Dolphins (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/miami-dolphins/), Champ Bailey (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/champ-bailey/), Nnamdi Asomugha (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/nnamdi-asomugha/), Darrelle Revis (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/darrelle-revis/), Rich Eisen (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/rich-eisen/), NFL Total Access (http://blogs.nfl.com/tag/nfl-total-access/)
Brandon Marshall checked in for an offseason chat with Rich Eisen via Dolphins Cam on “NFL Total Access” on Tuesday, and aside from offering assurance that his injured hip (http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/marshall-and-henne-connect-through-air-first-time) will be “ready to roll” soon and that QB Chad Henne is really good, Marshall also offered his take on the great cornerback debate.
But Marshall didn’t name the Jets’ Darrelle Revis (who he will play twice this season) or Nnamdi Asomugha of the Raiders (who he’ll face once) as the NFL’s best corners.
“As of right now, I still have to say Champ Bailey. I went against Champ every day for four years, and he’s amazing,” Marshall said. “It’s tough to be able to get a lot of interceptions when people don’t throw your way. Champ just turned 32, but he still has it.”
