for myself, preparing gametime munchies is one of the best parts of preparing for a broncos game.
you got your beer chillin' got your favorite bronco gear on.
and it's only 8 am ?
so i go to the store graze around the isles grabbing goodies .my wife knows that there won't be any need for dinner that day because i'm gonna make a pile of treats that will last through the game and beyond.
it's like football foreplay...it helps keep me distracted while the hours slooooooooowly pass til' kickoff.
so this thread is for everyone's favorite gametime munchables !
here's my first contribution.

BRONCO BALLS they're a mouthful of fun !

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb italian sausage
1 egg
1 cup shredded cheese (whatever kind you got)
1 cup italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper (or jalepeno if you like it spicy)
tsp.johnny's seasoning salt
tsp. pepper
tsp oregano (or italian seasoning )

step 1
pre-heat oven to 325,and wash your filthy hands
step 2
take all ingredients throw em' in a big mixing bowl squish it around until it's mixed well
step 3
roll mixture up with palms into "golf ball" size
step 4
place on lightly greased (or non stick)cookie sheet
step 5
bake for about 25 minutes,or until the smell drives you crazy or they are done whichever comes first.
step 6
eat these bad boys with a little marinara or a smixture of sour cream and horseradish (get it HORSE radish )

enjoy !

How many balls can you fit in your mouth TKO?

that would obviously depend on the size of the balls in question.
ive never tried to set any records......you?

hey clay, you could invite all the "fella's" over and put the balls in a big "party bowl" filled with sour cream and horseradish and play "bobbing for balls" !

p.s. i added a subtitle to the recipe name in your honor !

okay ! last week i was out of town so i could'nt go crazy in my kitchen.
this week is my first official "football snack day" of the season,so....
i just got done slicing up about 3 lbs of tri-tip steak,a sweet onion, about a pound of fresh anaheim, sorano, habenero and jalapeno's.
i'm gonna saute' the whole mess then add some pepper jack cheese and serve them rolled up in giant flour tortillas with diced tomato, shredded lettuce, avocado and sour cream !
also will be serving smoked brats and jalepeno chedder brats on grilled sourdough hoagies.
with homemade bean dip and chips on the side.
all served and consumed with copious amounts of frosty beer !
my amazing wife has offered to take over the pizza shop at 5:30 so i have time to finish the menu and start the beer !:elefant::beer:
is it 5:30 yet ?:D

How are you watching the game? As far as I can tell, I'm going to be searching for feeds. :(

Also, where'd you end up watching last week?

i went to hooters because it was only a couple blocks from my hotel(my wife actually dropped me off there while she went to walmart...how great is that ? i did'nt have to go to walmart AND got to watch the game),but they had no sound on the tv's so i left before kickoff and ended up about 5 blocks up the street at a little bar /casino that had sound on the tube.
it was pretty cool,i had 2 beers and about 5 bourbon and cokes, and 10 min before i left i stuck a five in a machine and won 25 bucks ,so the whole time only cost me about 5 bucks !
tonight i get to watch my first ever local broadcast (since moving away from colo) on my big screen in my living room !:elefant:
i worked out a sweet deal with my satalite provider and i get all the denver local stations now !!!!!!
that's right every bronco game all year with NO sunday ticket...i'm stoked

Rowdy's Cabin, maybe? It's not a bad place at all. I was down at Paradise and had to laugh because I was one of three Broncos fans there, the bar was mostly empty and I was the only one in a jersey. My FRAUSCHIEZE jersey to be exact.

And I'm SUPER jealous that you have the local Denver stations. That's so awesome and yet total crap at the same time. :)

I wanna put the Bronco Balls in my mouth. I think I'll try them for the game next week when I'm hosting people at my place. Kind of a last ditch summer thing before school starts.

it was the "jokers wild" i think rowdy's is right across the street.
some jerkoff at the bar told me if tebow does'nt start by the end of the year mcD will be out ! i tried to explain to him that bowlen probably does'nt see it that way and he just kept blabbering on about how mcD has done nothing right etc...it was kinda funny. but he was drunker than me so i just let him rip on the team. he was a bengals fan i believe.

uhhhhh........he was right ! funny to look back on now

Since you get all of the Denver local stations now, tune into cbs4 at 6:00 MST for an hours' worth of pregame coverage before the game tonight.

In fact, every Sunday night on cbs4 after the local news at 10:00, they have Arby's All Access, which you would enjoy, as well as every night during the week, after the sports in their 10:00 news, they have about 10 minutes of preseason special news. You get a lot of Bronco news on cbs4, as they have the contract for tv for the Broncos.

You would be correct on location. I'm betting that guy was a Gator/Tebow fan. I've found a lot of them around here and now they all have something to say about the Broncos. :tsk:

off to make about 10 lbs. of my world famous (ok maybe just a 3 mile radius famous) "SOUR CREAM CHICKEN ENCHILADA CASSAROLE"
and a HUGE bowl of spicy GUACAMOLE !
i'm not all that stoked for this years superbowl BUT.....knowing how boring the offseason is going to be i have to at least pretend to be excited about the last game of the year.
and i have always had a soft spot for the pack.
so i will cheer with some vigor (about as much as a broncos preseason game) for the packers and enjoy good food & fun with friends and family.
hope you all do the same.
peace:salute:
no time to leave a recipe now ,but it's awesome and i will soon if anybody wants it !

i have to wait about 10 min. before i leave so here's a vague recipe......
brown 2 lbs diced chicken breast.
in a large bowl mix 24 oz sour cream,a can of cream of chicken soup,1-2 cans diced green chili's ( i also like to throw in some diced jalepenos optional)your favorite chili spices,a pinch of cumin if you have it.

take a huge backing dish.....

spread some of the mix on the bottom layer flour and corn tortillas (ripped up into lg pieces) shredded pepper jack/chedder or colby cheese and some of the cooked chicken.
repeat until pan is full then bake for about 45 min at 350.
top with guac and fresh tomato a little spicy salsa( or whatever else you like)
it's awesome !

Warm Blue Cheese Bacon Dip

1/2 lb bacon
2-3 garlic cloves, minced (or more)
3 oz blue cheese
1 pkg cream cheese (room temp)
1/2 cup half and half or cream
chopped chives

Cut bacon into pieces and fry until almost crisp. Drain excess fat, add garlic and cook for another minute or two. Remove bacon and garlic to plate (with or without paper towels). HINT: A bit of bacon grease in the dip is good, but too much will cause it to separate and look gross.

Mix cream cheese and cream in a bowl (mixer works best but this can be done by hand with a whisk). Fold in blue cheese, bacon mixture and chives.

Put in glass dish, smooth the top, then bake in 350 degree over for 25 minutes or until hot. Alternately, throw the whole mess in a small crock pot, set it on high until hot, about 2 hours for a double batch.

Server with celery, assorted veggies, crackers and crusty bread. Under NO circumstances is this dip to be served without celery. This dip tastes particularly amazing with celery. It's bizarre. Two of my best friends hate celery with a passion, won't eat the stuff ever.....but got curious and tried it. They are converts now.
