I'm absolutely convinced that this Incredible Hulk HAS to be better than the last one.

The Dark Knight looks intriguing, but I'll need to avoid comparing the late Heath Ledger's Joker to Nicholson.

I hope this Indiana Jones does justice to the franchise.

Overall, I think this summer movie season is lacking in personal movie interest. I don't anticipate spending nearly as much time in the theater as I have in past summers...

I really want to see this, it comes out today. After all the sequels, prequels, etc. this summer its nice to see such an ambitious film. Its basically the story of 6 different time periods and how they are all connected through our actions. From the creators of The Matrix:

Yea, i think both Campbell and Raimi are involved. I thought the Fright Night and Nightmare on Elm St. remakes were horrible but this looks more promising. Still wont match the originals but it at least has more potential to me.

The great mix of comedy and horror in the originals was just so great. Combine that with the low budget quality of the first 2 and you have a cult classic that should not be touched. The only reason I give it a pass if the involvement of the creators. I don't think I'll be seeing it in the theater short of really good word of mouth.

To be fair, an invasion into Washington is a little more tactically feasible than Colorado.

Going to see Skyfall tonight with some friends and am really looking forward to it. Casino Royale was great, but Quantum Of Solace seemed a little off. They are showing the film a day early around the country on IMAX screens only if anyone else wants to catch it early. Most of them aren't the cool big IMAX screens, but its still a good chance to see the movie early without staying up until midnight. The only Bond I really liked aside from Connery was Daniel Craig, so this will be fun!

I love Zack Snyder's style and I think I own all of his movies so far. Watchmen and SuckerPunch are pretty underrated flicks. I really like the approach they are taking with the new Superman. AND Zod is making a return! Plus one of my favorite actors from Boardwalk Empire, Michael Shannon, is playing him. If anyone has seen that show they know he is the perfect mix of crazy and intimidating for the part. Plus Russell Crow, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams as Lois Lane... just a really exciting cast. I've always been more of a DC fan, so this is one I'm really looking forward to.

It really improves upon it in some ways, its almost like a whole different movie. One funny thing though is they cut out the part where the guy beats him up at the diner, but leave in the part where he returns the favor at the end so it looks like he kicks the shit out of that dude for no reason. Gone are the big plastic S throw and "magic kiss" as well. It has all the filmed Brando scenes and an extended fight in Metropolis.

If anyone has watched Boardwalk Empire, then you should know that Michael Shannon (Van Alden on the show) is going to be the new General Zod and that is very good news. That guy is the right mix of creepy and alien looking and a good actor to boot.

I've always been more partial to DC than Marvel (I can feel Buff's eye twitching and his fist clenching as I type this), but lately Marvel has been making the better movies. Though I did prefer The Dark Knight Rises to the Avengers, this new Superman could really do the character justice for the first time since the early 80's.

Well, I guess I need to clarify them that I liked them in different ways. The Avengers I can pick up and watch anytime, but you have to be in the mood to sit through something like The Dark Knight Rises though I thought it was ultimately a more satisfying movie. The Avengers is like junk food where TDKR is a nice steak dinner.

You guys seem to have missed my affinity for those movies. It's not that I think they are better - I know they are not - I'm just easily entertained by them.

I only watched Dark Knight Rises last night, because I wanted to see the 12-12-12 concert with Paul McCartney and Nirvana (and I was totally disappointed by that). I'm watching Prometheus now. Clearly, Prometheus and Dark Knight Rises are much better movies than some of the fare I watch.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I like those type of movies, too. Out here in Denver they do a live show called Mile Hi Sci Fi which is basically a live action Mystery Science Theater. They play bad older movies and a group of comedians sits in the back of the theater with microphones and does commentary. Plus they encourage alcohol consumption.

Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a neat concept. If you watch it for historical value, then you're totally missing the point. My suggestion...read the book. It is much better. But the film is okay for it's action sequences.

So looks like production on the still untitled Batman vs Superman movie is A LOT further along than most thought. There is going to be some shooting done for the film this weekend at halftime and before/after the East Los Angeles college game. Looks to be a good matchup between Gotham University and Metropolis State:

They would kill it.

They should remake the 1979 John Huston movie Wise Blood. The premise is darkly comedic in the same way that Fargo and No Country for Old Men are darkly comedic. Like Fargo and NCFOM, Wise Blood kinda makes the town/region a character by showing its quirks. Wise Blood was okay but not amazing, and I think it has the Coens name written all over it for a remake. They would make it Fargoesque and it would be amazing. Somebody needs to shoot the Bros an email telling them this.

I hated Frozen. People seem to love that movie and I thought it was absolute garbage. No where near the bar set by Disney's older films of that ilk.

Old school cartoons don't get better than the Lion King and new school don't get better than Up or Dispicable Me. Just my opinion obviously.

Seth Rogen comedies are awful.

Part of me expects to be thoroughly disappointed with Dumb and Dumber 2, given the spot Dumb & Dumber holds in my heart, but as one of my Top 3 favorite comedies of all time I am pretty much obligated to go see it.

Same here. I can laugh just thinking about scenes from that movie. I think what made the movie work for me is that it didn't get all sappy and serious at the end. Also I liked how Lloyd and Harry were not only stupid, they were pretty awful people who acted selfishly and you never really felt bad for them and they in no way deserved a happy ending. The trailer for the new one made me laugh more than it should have.

I loved the first one, but i cant imagine him as anyone but Will McAvoy now. I hope the sequel does not ruin the Newsroom for me.

For the longest time I couldn't imagine him as anyone other than Harry from D&D.

Did you enjoy the first season of Newsroom? I loved it but most critics seemed to hate it.

Yes mate - Will McAvoy was my favourite character on TV. I really liked the whole show, the cast, the storylines, the acting, the jokes, the lot!

I also think that Olivia Munn might be my next wife

I think she is dating Aaron Rodgers now - so you might need a $100 million contract to compete! I love Aaron Sorkin dialogue, and I don't care if it's a little over-produced.

I think it was 3 that ruined the sequels for me. Two wasn't horrible, but 3 was just..... aweful imo. I mean... one of the worst ever!!!

I love Beverly Hills Cop I & II. 3rd movie was horrible. Did you know that Jerry Bruckheimer is back with Beverly Hills Cop franchise? He has produced BHC I & II with Don Simpson. However, Jerry Bruckheimer was not involved in this 3rd movie.

Superman V Batman is shaping up to look really good so far. They did a surprise tease of some footage today and showed of Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman armor:

First up is a surprise Batman vs. Superman footage presentation. Here's the quick version of the footage.

So, Batman is standing on a rainy Gotham rooftop. His eyes are glowing white and his armor is extra bulky, almost metallic looking. He fires up the bat signal, camera tilts up revealing the Bat symbol in the sky... Floating in the middle of the signal is Superman looking Super Pissed. His eyes glow red. Batman stares up at him, not phased at all.

Crowd went nuts! It was an epic tease! Oh, and here's Wonder Woman art!

And here is a peak at the Batman sequence from a cell phone pic:

Which looks a lot like the armor he wore in the comic when he fought Superman. Pretty cool! Nice to see the white eyes look on the big screen finally.

Could just be the lighting. The concept art had a red leather quality.

That would make it better. I can picture a faded kind of red looking nice. Some on twitter were saying it looks too much like Xena and is missing some color.

I'm in the camp that enjoys bright and colorful superhero movies. Batman Forever, for all its flaws, is enjoyable to me because it's so bold and colorful. I've yet to see Man of Steel so I dunno how colorful it is.

Why would Batman and Superman be fighting?

Why would Batman and Superman be fighting?

If it's based off Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns (which it appears to be so far), Superman becomes a pawn of the corrupt U.S. Government because of his blind morality. Batman sees things a little clearer and basically uses every tool at his disposal to confront Superman and make him see the error of his loyalty. The comic featured an older Batman (which is what Affleck is) and this new movie seems to setup the Justice League which is loyal to no nation. Plus a big catalyst of the new film seems to be the destruction Superman and Zod caused in Metropolis in the first Man of Steel movie. Lex Luthor points to this destruction and uses it as a fear tactic to rally support against Superman, and I'm sure Batman doesn't trust Superman at first either. I'm sure by the end of the movie, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman along with some other rumored Justice Leaguers in the film come together to face a common threat. This of course is all setting up the official Justice League movie 3 years after it premieres.

Here is one someone did by lightening just the areas of her costume in photoshop. I did something similar and came up with nearly the same result. It will probably be a muted color, but closer to this:
