It's offseason and the draft talk has calmed down so it's time to bring up some more bronco history! My latest blog post below

http://sportsindenver.blogspot.com/2010/05/broncos-by-numbers.html

---------------

I recently came across a list I had put together a few years ago of "all time bronco numbers" - the best player for each number in bronco history. I have updated the list below. Will Tim Tebow become the greatest #15 in Bronco history? He only has to beat out Jim Turner and Brandon Marshall to do it!

I'll have more thoughts on Tebow in a future blog post.

It's just fun reading all those old names, Cookie Gilchrist, Steve Tensi, and I guess we had a Dave Logan at one time. There's a lot of history on that list.

Good list, but Rod Smith is NOT the "runner up" to Rick Upchurch. Rod is #80!

I'd give that one a tie, both were awesome football players and great Broncos.

Upchurch was a fantastic return man. Rod Smith is the all time leading receiver in Broncos History!!! His combination of leadership, commitment, skill, dedication to his craft, and of course "quotable quotes" make him not just the best #80, Rod is a top 5 all time Bronco. No doubt. The fact that his Jersey still hasn't been retired is almost criminal! Rod Smith is HOF material!!!
