Did we pick him up?

I like the way he handles himself on the field. He's a ball hawk and has good instincts.

9 times out of 10 unrestricted free agents end up being nothing more then camp fodder. It's that 1% that every team is looking for, the next Moon, Randle, Smith and so on.

But it's well documented that the traditional big time school prospects that are undrafted free agents are undrafted for a reason, and most can not translate to the level of competition. It's also well known that the majority of successes are from rural schools and smaller programs. Rod Smith, John Randle and so forth. But it's like looking for a needle in a haystack...that is why so many teams sign often a significant number of those undrafted...they just need that one or two that help the team.

There are going to be those that are hyped that we signed Brian Bosworth's nephew, and I'm quite high on the kid. He will need to prove a lot to stick in the NFL, most undrafted kids are in and out or are nothing more then depth for some teams...the point I'm making is that he has a one percent chance of being a gem, and a ten percent chance of making the team as depth. We've seen it enough because of Shanahan to know that it's not really promising to go undrafted.

he seems fast enough with the pads on. likes to make the hit. could be a good pickup.
