When Urban became head football coach at UF I was like who the hell is this guy. Next came the haters from ESPN analysts especially. His system will never work in the SEC. The d's are to fast and it will never ever be successful. Urbana first year at UF was mediocre at best compared to what us as fans were hoping for. We wanted instant success like when spurrier took over after Galen Hall was axed. We believed the nay sayers, and bought into what the "experts" were saying. Then came the "fluke" NC so it was called. It was Zooks players blaa blaa blaa. Ok well we know where espn holds Meyer now and so far his offense has produced the most dominant class of football players in SEC history. 9 gators taken in the draft this year and so on to Timmy.

He will never make it as a passer in the sec......he cant throw,,,,,he can't can't can't can't can't ...... Is all inheard for almost a year leading unto his sophmore campaign. Now he hold 25 UF records, numerous awards , a little trophy called the Heisman......participated in 2 national championships and the same number of SEC championship wins and well you all know the rest.
Enter a couple of turds named mcshay and kiper who has got some of you people so brainwashed that you really believe Tim will fail. Maybe he will but I wouldn't bet the farm on it at all.
Now I see similarities beween what mcd is trying to do and what urban DID do. They coached on a vision of things that they believe would work. I would give them all a chance before I pulled out the rocks and started throwing them at the bus. Below is my explanation on why I think people hate Tim. This is part of a post I Put on espn message board a few days ago. Before you read I am not aware of any incident as to where Tim pushed religion on anyone and my opinion is he is expressing himself with eye black and demenor the same way many other players do.......but most them like to express their area code. Which I don't get bet hey each to their own
The media has demonized Timmy for being who he is.......Why.....I'll tell you why because Timmy is the kind of person that makes us all feel like shit about ourselves. He is a true person who is all that is good. He is the closest thing to a perfect kid that anyone could hope for......and people don't like that.

(Ok start flaming me I'm ready to take it..........)

Just because I actually like the Tebow pick you come out on the attack eh, RAV? :tsk:

A) I have never owned a pair of crocs
B) It was the only thing in the picture worth mentioning.
C) As nasty and hostile and tense as these boards have been lately, what's wrong with a little comedy once in a while?

I have reported you to your State police for Typing while driving.:laugh:

I have been listening to Espn radio this morning and they are laughing at us but then then they though the Clarette pick was bogus also.

SO they are consistent. They are even pounding on Bill B and the Pats because of his draft.

For the most part they know sports but they have never been big fans of DEN so Who that hell cares.

They think that giving up 3 picks for him was dumb and that this is a lousy team. They seem tithing that a 2nd 3rd 4th round draft choice was automatically going to make this team better. While granted a second may have who is to say we might have used it on Tebow anyway. So we in essence gave up and 3rd and 4th for him and Other than

lets see which other players we might have been able to get. if we did not used 43 on Tebow.

The tackles in Orange well since we got the guy we wanted I'd say NO we would not have taken another OT.

the guy in red was someone well thought of in DEN but many thought would not be until the third round and WHO would have EVER thought that MIN would take him. It was brilliant move IMO but I'll bet there were a lot of WTHF from their faithful when it happened.

as for Cody IIRC we talked to him and may have pursued him but was thought of going in the third or fourth because of he flabbiness.
the LB on there I don't think they would have been huge upgrade in what we had. and most to the DB 's were not much more than what we have or got later.

Then before the third we gave up and the one we took.

not sure we would have taken/needed any one of these guys or would have been an upgrade on our existing players.

I guess we will see 3 years down the road if Tim was worth the move, and if any of these players became super stars.

We needed OLG and OC and Backup OT/OG/OC and we filled those spots. With what looks to be solid players.

We were thought to need ILB, and DE backups. Not sure any of those guys will be better than who we have already, yes some of them may be or would create competition for the spots.

But the Broncos really are not a Bad team and IF we filled those apparent holes Picking up a Potential FQB like we did with Tebow well. It is not like we gave away OUR only spots in the 2, 3 or 4 we used others pick to make the move. and frankly not sure that 3 more picks in the draft would be able to make the squad anyway.

Time will tell.
