I was terrified of San Diego getting this kid. Matthews is going to run all over the AFC west for many a season. This really sucks, he is going to be great.

 Even I would enjoy watching that one over and over again.... although, I don't know if it would be allowed to be shown here on this site, without a lot of 'editing' the language :D

Was it a lot like the Minnesota Favre interception video that came out after the NFC Championship game? :D

I wish I had a video of my reaction when we picked Tebow

My mom and dad were laughing their asses off at me when we moved down to 24. I was cursing up a storm saying they're making the damn move for Tebow. I was so pissed that we let Iaputi and Pouncey go by. Then they picked the WR and I was like WT flying F!!! So I went out to replenish my drink and my mom screams.....Uhhhh the Broncos are on the clock. I was like what!!!! And then they showed Tebow getting the call. I was pissed at first and like most other things with the Broncos, I start trying to see things in the best light.

I told my brother, sarcastically, that I'm betting we take Tebow. He said "Nuh uh".. and I said "Effing yeah, we brought his ass in twice.. you j ust watch".... when they called his name the phone went off the hook around here from all my friends and family. None were complimenting, all were laughing... and all I could do was just shake my head and take it. If I had video of it, would have gone viral Im sure.

But... as you said. What can you do? Wasn't my want or my desire to have.... I don't believe he's the guy for the future....but he's a good athlete. Guess we'll just see

I'm going to have to start video taping all the game I watch with Denver, and put together a highlight reel.... that would be awesome.

Too funny! I watched with some classmates. One was a Seahawks fan who is infatuated with Jake Locker and was terrified that they'd pick up Clausen. We discussed at length how he didn't want Clausen and I didn't want Tebow (didn't want him in the first round) and how we'd be pissed. So I was laughed at when we finally picked up Demaryius and my relief was clear. Another classmate who's not a football fan asked what was wrong with Tebow and we launched into a discussion of throwing mechanics and muscle memory....to finish up right when Denver is back on the clock! The reaction was NOT pretty and the meeting was adjourned and all but one fled the room quickly before the coverage on the pick was over.

Never watching the draft again: 1. Anywhere but my house. 2. Sober.

I don't get what the big deal is with Tebow and his throwing mechanics. I love how 1 or 2 NFL draft critics say something about Tebow and then more do. And then eventually everyone says the same thing. No one seems to have a mind of thier own. Bunch of followers.

Theres QB's in the NFL who I think throw the ball really wierd but it works for them. But guess people just like being like everyone else and saying all the same thing.

Young had an awkward throwing motion.

Rivers has the worst throwing motion of just about any QB, but he seems to do okay. I wouldn't put much into that discussion.

The Bolt fans are justifying it by saying at least three other teams were going to take him, so they had to move up. Who knows how valid that is, but it seems to placate us.

Farve,Steve Young, Warner and Rivers all had or have awkward throwing motions. My guess is it will be a non issue in time.

Chuck Norris wears Tim Tebow pajamas.

Since we are talking about poor mechanics, isn't the complaint about Tebow that he has an elongated throwing motion (drops the ball to the hip)?

I was actually going to make an entire thread breaking down a comparison in their throwing motion, because I am convinced that Cutler has had to work to fix his mechanics. He often times reverts back to holding and throwing the ball from his back pocket which always used to drive me nuts. He typically does it when staring down his receiver. Also, his footwork is terrible when under pressure (throwing off back foot, etc) which is something that has been brought up with Tebow (footwork).

It would REALLY drive me nuts when Jay would stare down receivers and hold the ball at his hip while he waited for a window to open up. I can't even tell you how many times I would yell "THROW THE ******* BALL" at the tv.

When everyone made a big deal about Tebow's throwing motion, my initial thought was always "why didn't anyone critisize Cutler for it", but I just never made a big deal about it because I knew it would turn into a Cutler vs McD bashfest.

Anyways, I wouldn't worry so much about his throwing motion...at least, not to the point that the talking heads do in suggesting it could prevent him from producing in the NFL. If Tebow fails in the NFL it will be because he doesn't adjust to the scheming and speed of the NFL. I personally think he will be fine, even if he reverts back to his old throwing motion under pressure.

Yeah that is very true. But Cutler has unearthly speed once he begins his throwing motion.
