Our users online has jumped from a high of 579 in Dec '08 to 821 when I looked a couple minutes ago. The Apache webserver has been serving between 500-600 connections/requests pretty consistantly every time I
ve checked since the trade/pick.

Seen the movie 2012? It will be like that in message board form.

B.C. is still down...

I'm not pissed with the tebow move, I'm just VERY curious to see how it turns out.

On the bright side: We still got our WR, and we have a 2nd and 2 3rds left.

Not as many visitors as Mania, and as for the Mane, also probably not as many people trying to connect, but they go down at 200-300, where my 'guess' was that we could handle 1000 plus, but tonight was the first time to put that to the test.

Last offseason I upgraded to a seriously over-capacity server to handle any spikes, such as a big news day (today), SB run, etc.

One of the many great reasons i made the jump from the Mane to here. I got tired of all the crashes every other week. Plus, i love my peeps more here. :D

I theorized it would be stable at 800-1000, glad it's proven to be the case. Now, we are ready for that SB run!!! ;)

I must admit, there's way less incompetent, ignorant posters on these boards than on the Mane. I just don't come here often because the lack of activity.

There are also guys/girls on the other board that I really like.

Yea, not sure we would survive 2,400.

AT the peak, we were using about 60% of the processor (quad core) and mostly had about 1gig of the 8gig of RAM free, but that includes 4 gig that Linux had allocated to cache. I think it would simply have eaten into that cache, so I think we had plenty of RAM overhead.

I don't have a real good way to know how close to capacity the RAID-10 was.

So, we definately had quite a bit of head room left, but it's hard to quantify how much.

Yea, they have 400+ in total, which is better than they were doing with the draft, when it typically went to "server busy" at 250 or so. That's a vBulletin setting based on server load, so either these users were less 'load intensive' or TJ tweaked the settings and raised the 'load value' when that message comes up. That setting is to prevent an actual crash like Mania had.

BC.com has been destroyed

I really don't wanna go over there though, I can't deal with the complaining at times. I'm so excited to have Tebow  I know it sounds crazy, and while I'm an Orton supporter, you can't deny he doesn't do much that is exciting.

Tebow might be my first Broncos jersey

Shame his name isn't Jim Tebow, because all of our "J" QB's are lightening rods and logs that feed the flame wars.

This site is better than BC anyway. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.

The mods especially deserve their kudos. :salute:

The disagreements while intense, are much more mature and civil as well (i.e. Northman, LTRagger, JRWIZ, etc...)

This bears repeating. While it's the posters that make a community, mods can break one. Our mod team does a great job of trying to interfere with the flow of conversations as much as possible, but still make sure conversations stay civil.

They do a great job and we all owe them our thanks. :salute:

They're both vBulletin. Is this site different on that? Hmm.

Anyway... I'm glad to see that this didn't break the record for users. Not quite, from the sounds of it.

Broncos Country, the Mane and BroncosForums all use vBulletin, which uses MySQL.
