The ideal player to me would be Curtis Lofton, but with the run on LB's, he may not make it out of the 1st round.

Best DT, LB, WR or CB/KR available should be the pick IMO.

im almost thinking a wr. i havnt paid too much attention to wr's this year but i wouldnt mind us picking up a good one. any chance someone drops? if it is a wr, then he better be able to handle kr/pr duties too.

a mlb would be ok with me as well...

We have signed 3 WR in FA. I don't think we go WR. We signed 2 safeties so no safety. We signed 2 LB so I don't think that we go LB. DT and RB would be the 2 positions that I would look at. An every down back because Henry can't be trusted, or DT because Robertson has knee issues.

The way this draft is going we're going to draft Rashard Mendenhall...

I like Curtis Lofton.

Trade up. I wouldn't be opposed if another team was willing.

I don't see him making it past Dallas though.

dallas will pick him and they wont trade for him. we would have to trade above dallas. maybe our 2nd and next years 1st? thats alot but...mendenhall is a bad boy.

Either ILB, Running back, or a WR who can handle some PR duties.

Mendenhall is still there. I think Denver should trade next year's first rounder and grab him right now.

Harrison is a Thomas clone. They'd be crazy to take a headcase like him in round 2. Harrison is a stretch in round 3.

Denver is gonna take Phillips. I want ILB.

DTAckle: Laws or Sims

Middle Linebacker: Connor or Lofton

or

Safety: Philips.

Which ones? Connor, Lofton, Laws, Philips, Sims....? Maybe. Let's see who falls.

Curtis Lofton, Dan Connor, Limas Sweed, Malcom Kelly, Devin Thomas, Deshawn Jackson, Pat Sims...

I'd be happy with any of those guys now that we're 11 picks away.

I really hope we don't take Laws, though I like his work ethic, we just don't need another undersized defensive lineman.

Zuttah is a possibility here too. We could do a lot worse. I like Zuttah better than Baker and Brown.

Conner, Lofton, Thomas WR in that order.

But if I know Shanny, it will be a suprise.

Looks like the Broncos drafted Eddie Royal, who I know nothing about.

Mike Shanahan wouldn't spend a second round pick on a return man would he?
I would think that he feels that he can use Royal as a receiver.

Given the high value of a second round investment this pick puzzles me. Is he insurance for Brandon Marshal? Do the Broncos not feel that Brandon will recover in time for the season opener?

I am not paranoid but the paranoids are after me!:D

HE did on darrent a few years ago and then found out he was a CB or at least better than the CB's he drafted behind him..

I said ONCE AGAIN after last years draft that nothing mikey pulls on DAFT day surprises me any more..

New assistant GM a shake up in the scouting staff. SAME Bullshit..

People overlook field position and the odds of getting to the end zone from deep in your own territory versus around mid-field. Our return game has been horrendous over the years. Special teams and field position wins games. Look at the game and what field position means. If it takes a 2nd round gamble to improve out horrendous starting position, then I'll try to improve it with a 2nd round pick. You make picks and draft positions to improve your team. This is a great gamble if it helps in field position. Field position wins games, period. You start on a short field and you scoring odds increase, ours sucked. Don't complain over trying to improve a weakness on the team, even if it includes a 2nd round pick. If we improve in that area, then the pick is well worth it even if the kid never plays a down at WR.
