YES! He is a former MVP and could really help solidify our running attack. He is probably a little more effective than Maurice Clarrett at this point in time, which is saying a lot.;)

someone ALWAYS makes the joke that they are waiting for the thread, and someone ALWAYS has to oblige.

The shape our line is in? He would fall down at first contact. I live in Seahawks country and they said he was only great when the line was playing great.

How would he solidfy our running attack? I don't think his body will take the punishement anymore.

Was it a coincidence that Shawn Alexander's 2005 MVP season was when he ran behind Steve Hutchinson and Walter Jones, 2 of the best O-lineman in their perspective position?
The whole left side of the Seattle line would collapse forward every time they went that way. He also had Mack Strong as his blocking FB.

Yeah, but, see, I killed both birds with one stone!

Going to be interesting to see what the reaction is out here (I live in Seattle). Shaun really is a good guy, but now they have lost both Mack and Shaun, so definitely will be interesting. This was mostly a salary cap issue.

The following year Steve Hutchinson went to Minnesota and Shaun Alexander's play plummeted.

Going from:
1435 yds in 2003,
1696 yds in 2004,
1880 yds in 2005, to
896 yds in 2006, the year Hutchinson left.

When RB's hit the wall, they crash into it hard.

Travis Henry is getting up there in age. Time to seek a replacement.

I think I could have gotten 1200 yards in that offense myself.

No we need a power back and although he has the size, he no longer runs like his size indicates.

Yeah, we'll sign him ... right after we reach contract terms with Mike Rucker!

Are you suggesting we replace Henry with Alexander?

No, replace Henry with a player in the draft.

Only year I played fantasy football and I had him :whoo: so im a tad prejudice - if we can get him for some magic beans then we need to get the OT in the draft

And im looking for the thread about Miami already signing that OT before the 1st round - i didnt know you could do that - but i guess if you know you have 1st pick and who you want - go get em

IMO - injuries did him in the way they did TD
