Denver will probably be looking a the draft for the guy of the future and the guy to replace Elam... With that in mind... which kicker to you prefer?

Jason Elam.

Coutuu out of Georgia would probably be last on my list given the history of hamstring and leg injuries which have to be seriously concerning given the fact that he's a kicker. Mehlhaff, just because he beat my ass in high school.

Mason Crosby.

I would rank them in this order

1) Brandon Coutu - probably the safest pick for his power and accuracy
2) Taylor Mehlhaff - pretty darn close to how I feel about Coutu, pretty safe pick
3) Steven Hauschka - huge leg, needs to work accuracy
4) Jeremy Ito - how can you not like this kid

I am starting to think that the Broncos are not going to draft a kicker. They have looked at bringing Vanderjagt and Berger in to compete with Prater for the job and Barr is scheduled to be brought in for a try out. If they sign one of them, and I personally think that they will, don't look for a kicker to be drafted.

I bet they do and it will either be really late or a UDFA... someone they won't mind cutting if the vet they bring in or Prater out plays them during workouts, practices, and preseason.

It wouldn't matter to me as long as they are accurate and have decent range.

Taylor Mehlhaff, is probably the best kicker as far as Power, accuracy, and kickoff

Steven Hauschka, probably has the strongest leg but has some accuracy problems

Art Carmody, is probably the most accurate but lacks the leg strength

Brandon Coutu is pretty similar to Taylor but Coutu did have some accuracy problems early in his career as well as some injuries, but he seems to worked them out.

You got your ass beat by a kicker? That's embarrasing.

Most kickers are pansies, but this kicker with the AZ Cardinals likes to turn into a gunner after kickoffs.
Neil Rackers likes to mix it up !

Damn I would love to have Crosby. Too bad Elam left a year late. But I want Coutu. Probably since I like Georgia but he has a leg. :salute:
