Got to take this with a grain of salt considering the source but, if true, it's a welcome bit of news.

Broncos RT Ryan Harris (toe surgery) is targeting the team's June 11-13 minicamp to make his return.

He should be 100 percent over a month before training camp. Injuries limited Harris to just eight starts in 2009, and the Broncos experienced a severe downgrade in right tackle play with outmatched Tyler Polumbus filling in.

Kinda makes one think we will draft an OT thats versatile enough to play guard or center perhaps?

Or to move Harris inside?

Hes missed a number of games with injury.

Harris doesn't fit at guard in a power blocking scheme. A good blocking tackle is also too hard to come by in the NFL. Once you get them, you don't move them to the inside. As far as drafting a versatile Olineman, I expect the Broncos to do it a couple of times this year.

War, I couldn't imagine taking one of the best tackles in the league and making a guard out of him . . .

We once got by with Harry Swayne at RT... on the way to 2000yds and a super bowl. RT doesn't make or break a team. As much as I disliked the job Polumbus did, he wasn't the overriding issue... it was a crappy attempt to mix blocking schemes and an immobile QB. Patriots run blocking scheme hasn't been particularly dominating ever and Orton struggles mightily maintaining focus downfield and sidestepping pressure... he tends to somehow someway find his way right into their arms when he steps up... sort of looks like a chicken with his head cut off when the pocket isn't perfect. Does a lot of good things, but the downturn of the OL was GREATLY exaggerated by his play and trying to force Moreno to always hit the designed hole... Buck never worried about it and still used his instincts and was overwhelmingly successful... take the reigns off Moreno and stop filling his head with garbage and he'll be fine.. Maroney has had the same thing happen to him in his transition to the Pros... Patriots way of thinking has never been very good at grooming backs (it's counterproductive actually) since RB is not a position where hitting your designed hole or being b#$%slapped by the coach is really an effective teaching tool.... WRs, TEs, etc. they all need to do as the play is designed (A big thing in BBs school of thought) but RBs? they need to be able to freelance some, use instincts and find the open hole... either Moreno has totally lost one of his most alluring gifts in college (finding the hole or creating a hole with his moves) or the coaching staff has pounded into him so thoroughly not to lose yardage and follow the play exactly that it has utterly ruined him... the proof is on the field... Buck had the same players in front of him and he busts plenty of great runs and he is NOT as good a RB ... sorry... I watched MJD face that SAME indy pressure and he absolutely obliterated them for blitzing the frontside of plays ... he routinely stopped his carry and cut back to find open ground ... RBs HAVE to be allowed some ability to make their own decision out there and that was the beauty of 1 cut and go... RB was not committed to any one hole... but he wasn't given total freedom to dance around... they were allowed one decision... and generally ... wow... these PROS who've been doing this based on natural instincts for years... suddenly looked great even though in more structured systems they couldn't do anything... hmmm.. lol... let players make plays.. particularly at the RB spot.

So in summation... Glad Ryan is on track to being healthy... won't make much of a difference though unless we drastically change other things.
