They had Dave Logan on and he basically offered nothing. Said that the Denver staff is pretty tight lipped about the draft. He then guessed they could be interested in Balmer. Then they talked about how immature Brandon Marshall is.

North Carolina DT Kentwan Balmer pulled up on his second forty-yard dash after aggravating his hamstring injury at the Tar Heels' Pro Day.

Balmer reportedly timed in the 5.12 range on his first run. Labeled an underachiever by many observers, Balmer's production was lackluster at UNC. He's likely being looked at mostly as a two-gap defensive end in a 3-4.

McShay's latest mock has Denver selecting Jeff Otah in the 1st and James Hardy in the 2nd.

Somebody did tell him that Otah would probably be the biggest lineman in Broncos history, right? He's a little bigger than Foster. And that with Foster not working out it's doubtful we'll be taking a guy that big to play T for us...

I just can't see it. I mean, he'd be a monster at RT, but he doesn't fit our system. He's far more a Chiefs/Pittsburgh kind of guy.

How would everyone feel if we went

1st: Branden Alberts
2nd: Sam Baker

Double up on one position like we did last year and the year we got Williams and Foxworth.

i would be pretty stoked with the branden albert pick, but then sort of  when they announced the baker pick.

i will be kind of upset if harris will never be anything more than a backup for us, as we normally do not pick OL as high as the 3rd round, and haven't really needed to... if we double up on OTs, then it's announcing that harris is a bust.

i don't want to double up on any one position on day one, not even DT (because it would mean balmer/moore--taking balmer so early would cause laws to be gone before our 2nd rounder).

I read that Otah was listed at 322 lbs, Foster was listed at 338. Also Foster's short comings in the offense wasn't because he was to big. His problem was that that he became lazy about his technique.

I would love it. But then they better hit WR in round 4, and pick up Robertson when he gets cut.

Kuper can start at LT this year. Switch to guard next year when Hamilton moves to Center.

You would have Alberts, Kuper, Hamilton, Holland, Baker.
