Is there a kicker in the draft that anyone knows of that you would like? Or is there even one worth wasting a pick on? Just curious, been really busy with work and all, would like some input.

Mehlhaff is better at kickoffs. Coutu's career long is better than Mehlhaffs. It depends on what youre looking for. Im sure Mehlhaffs ability to kickoff will appeal to some since we havent had a K who did that for a while.

I wanted Mason Crosby last year because I felt Elam's top play career would soon be over, people called me crazy and said the Elam would be here another 5-6 years.

There's not a kicker than stands out for me like Mason Crosby did last year. Who knows who Shanny will pick up.

No kicker will stand out like Mason, Wook. Not for a long time.

You got that right.

I wanted us to draft him alot. He's going to become a top end kicker in my opinion.

He already is, he led the NFL in points scored.

He's got one of the strongest legs in the NFL and the Packers are set at Kicker for the next 20 years.

I could see Mike & Co. picking up a guy like Mare or Carney and use the draft for other needs.

When does Mason Crosby's rookie contract expire? They are usually for 2-3 years right?

Hopefully we can find a stopgap (Mare perhaps?) for a season or two and then do what it takes to get Crosby in here providing he continues to get better.

he won't leave GB, he's going to be one of the league's premier kickers for the next decade or more.

a big reason why i'm retroactively pissed (was very pissed at the time as well) that we traded up for jarvis moss. we could have had crosby in the 6th! round if we didn't trade up for jarvis, as well as another player in the 3rd... sickening.

EDIT: our early 6th was involved with the marcus thomas trade, whereas our late 6th, involved with the moss trade, was after crosby had already been selected... but with our 3rd intact from the moss trade, we could have selected a different DT, not needed to trade up for thomas, or done a different deal, and still retained our early 6th as well and drafted crosby.
