Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Announced
Ubisoft revives the tactical shooter.
by Martin Robinson, IGN
February 9, 2010 - Ubisoft has announced Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, the fourth mainline entry in the Tom Clancy endorsed tactical shooter series.
Ubisoft's Paris studios will once again be taking care of development, preparing the game for release the end of 2010 for the PC, 360, PS3 and Wii. A multiplayer beta will launch this summer, available for a limited time to owners of the soon to be released Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Details about Ghost Recon: Future Soldier are sparse, though the official release promises it will "go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience."
Ghost Recon series stretches back to 2001, the most recent installments coming via the two Advanced Warfighter titles that hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, earning themselves a 9.2 and 9.0 respectively.
