View Full Version : Please provide feedback on new banner

Edit: This thread is old and the banners shown in it didn't meet with much positive feedback, but I think the subject needs to be brought back up. See my post at the end of this thread (as of when I write this) about us moving forward with this project.

Here are two new banner design concepts. One is up on the message board already, but I am including both here. The concept would be to choose one look/design, and then have themes, such as:
Banner 1 would have current offensive players
Banner 2 would have current defensive players
Banner 3 would have past Broncos
Banner 4 would be a tribute to SB winning teams
Banner 5 would be offensive linemen
Etc. I am thinking 5 banners, and banners 3-5 need to be discussed, but I through those groups out as examples.
The banners would then rotate.
Here are the two banner concepts. Please give feedback on which of the two concepts you like, or what changes you would like to see to the concepts before creating all the banners.
Plus, I have pictures of most currently players, but would need pictures of the past Broncos.

Yes, I guess Elam needs to come out, maybe put Champ Sharpe or even Shanny in there. But besides that I like this one.

I like the top one. But agree with SAS....no Selvin Young. Add the Hoss #20.

On this one, I am mostly looking for feedback on the concept. Since many, many people have asked for a new banner and we haven't had progress, I have outsourced the banner/header creation (can't do didly with graphics).
So, what we need to do, is decide what we do or don't like about this design, and then I will have changes made to the base design as needed, then we can choose which players go on each banner.
For instance, do you guys like the broncoheads in the background, the orange border and around the image and players?
Is five players to many, or do we want it more airy? We will have five banners with different players, so we could have 2 offensive banners, 1 defensive and two past players banners for instance.
Right now, the biggie is the design concept.

Of the two here I like the top one better. The orange lines going in front of the players is a distraction for me. I also like broncosforums.com rather than the other proposed changes. The players can be any current players.
Will there be more than one of the D and O players or just the two? If I understand correctly you are suggesting there be only five banners total that will rotate, is this correct?

I like the idea of players rather than fans, the ones on BC get on my last nerve. Just don't go cheesy T and all will be good! :salute:
Top one is better, IMO. The lines in front on the second one make it look a bit novice The cuts and all that design stuff just look cleaner on the top one.

The one you had up was great but Elam looks like he will need to be replaced.
If it were my website I would keep the the old one but put Elway and TD in the black/white background and maybe also Rod Smith or Steve Atwater. In the forground part that is in color keep the Cutler part just like it is but add Bailey and Marshall to his left and right.
Kudos to whoever made the old one, that really hit the mark... The new one, not so much.

I like this one better than the rest. However, the older logo before all of these was better than all of them, IMO.

They all look really good, old and new, and i'd be happy with either one of them. I think the one that is up now blends in very well with the page.

For those wondering about why Elam was on the banner I made...is simply because he won
so many games for us this season and kickers get no love....

He's been really tied up and hasn't had time. He was hoping to get to it in the next couple weeks, but since it has been outstanding for a while, I decided to an find someone to make a design we liked.

New Banner - - It doesn't do anything for me. Maybe that's my problem and not yours though. :lol: I think it looks cluttered, but then...I'm woman.
I can tell the graphics work is outstanding though. ;)

Eh, it's nice but where's Champ Bailey......or Tom Nalen. I think those 2 should be on there before Scheffler, Stokely and Young.
I know no one likes to look at lineman but he is a team leader no?
The orange outlines are kinda annoying too, strains my eyes

I agree, too. The orange stencils are a bit of a strain, but IMO they make it seem a little un-professional. It takes away from the sleekness that the logos typically have. Very fake looking, especially as I look at it more.

I agree, a different background color so you can differentiate from the player jerseys and eliminate the orange lines, would go a long way towards improvement.

I hate all three of them...
Their all to cluttered, The pictures of the players are to big for the banner. I also thing the banner is too tall. The corners should be oval or round too.
Too sum it all up, I thing their all a big square pile of clutter. :D I like the old banner much better.
I really like the idea of having rotating banners. That will solve most the, who should be on the banner problems. But I just don't like the design of it. Could we model it after the old one? The old one blended into the back ground, while this one screams at you and hogs up to much room.. It reminds me of my wife :laugh:

Just getting rid of the orange lines is a HUGE improvement!

Hey cool, the old one is back...
Come on whoever is in charge... Put TD in Elam's place, swap Elway and Champ's photos and put Brandon Marshall where Rod Smith is and without too much more work you have a masterpiece! Older players in the black and white and current guys in color.
I just don't think Selvin Young deserves to be anywhere near the banner yet.

Personally, I'm okay with whatever design is decided on. I'm here more for the content and ease of this place than for the design on the front page. If someone asked me right now...I couldn't tell them who or what is on there at the moment.
Whatever you do with the design is cool with me Tned, but if you are looking for a web designer, my cousin is a bigshot in that industry.

Actually, I really like the one on now. Whoever did it did a fine job, for sure... it just needs a touch up for Elam, maybe Rod with an older player... but that's the right size and design for me. The couple that we had a little while ago were entirely too large... this one's fine with me.
We still need a new banner (or multiples). These weren't well received, so I am bumping this and the other thread where some volunteers were talking about making new ones.

I like it, but I would like it in the center, with current players pictures rotating on one side, and past players pictures rotating on the other side - not even sure if that is possible to do.

I think the white clouds are a bit too much contrast with the blue background of the site. Beyond that, I don't have much input. When I travel I have my wife work out my jacket/tie/suit combos, because she says I am either color blind or lack any basis of good taste. :D

the concept is good but lighter stands might help also.. way to much contrast IMO..
