Lets see who's closest to the tenders McD & company place on the FA's.

low-ability to match, draft pick equal to pick chosen ($1.3m)

mid-ability to match, 2nd rd pick ($1.8m)

high-ability to match, 1st rd pick ($2.5)

highest-ability to match, 1st & 3rd rd picks ($3.04m)

Orton
Marshall
Sheffler
Dumervil
Kuper

And who do they keep?

Of course, it'll be telling, just by seeing what level they tender them at.

Doom at a low means "goodbye!" (example only, don't crap yourselves)

Let's see who the GM's are out there!!!!!

ps. There's also the chance they get traded before FA starts (3/5), while they're still under contract.

Orton highest
Marshall highest and actually it is 3.3 mil or 50% more than last years contract 2.2.
Sheffler mid only because they would like the draft choice for him and marshal
Dumervil highest
Kuper highest

We can tender Sheff for the lowest tender. If anyone signs him, it'll cost a 2nd, because that's where he was originally drafted.

Orton- Highest- It keeps him here for one more year while we groom his replacement, and no team is going to cough up a 1st and 3rd for him. 3 million is cheap for a starting QB.

Kuper- Mid- I think a 2nd round pick will keep teams from signing him, and he's a decent starting guard. If he does get signed, there are some quality players in the second round to replace him.

Doom- Highest- I think we re-sign him before FA opens though. A premiere edge rusher is hard to come by. He'll be even better when the D line improves.

Marshall- Highest- It will cost a 1st and a 3rd for a team to get him, and a few will try.

I thought Orton was unrestricted, but other than that I would agree with zIggy, should they all get that far. Doom should be locked up. He could be an absolute dominant outside pass-rushing specialist. He is the reincarnation of Simon Fletcher with a longer arm span and a better motor. Pay the man.
