I like Invesco.

Have to get back to Denver for a game next season. Hopefully the team is better then.

Note to self - don't meet up with topscribe.

Rumor is that he is a locker room cancer.

And can't take the cold.

Had to spend a couple hours in a sports bar drinking some type of IPA to drown my sorrows. KC was just shredding our defense, and Orton made some bad throws. Oh, and Moreno really struggled again.

No receivers = run game keyed on = KnoMo going NoWhere.

The whole team stunk like a pile of horse shit today.

Bar none, the loudest ovations/cheers were the couple times Hillis was sent in the game, like on a short yardage play on the goalline, when the crowd thought he was in to run, rather than block for Moreno's TD.

Several times, the crowd started a Rudy-like, Hillis, Hillis chant. While the coach clearly thinks he brings little to the table, he is clearly a fan favorite based on what he did last year.

good thing is, it doesn't take much to make a horse happy, all you need is an apple.

They cant stop the run. Very basic.

over the last 10 games the run D was bad.

Which surprisingly (sarcasm) is what most all of us predicted would be a continuing problem this season.

We did well in the beginning of the season when most teams tried to attack us up the middle. . .we can hold up in the middle. It's around the edges where we get raped, and after the bye more and more teams began concentrating on the edges.

It's understandable that the defense wore down being our very ineffective offense kept them on the field so much.

Skydivers ROCKED, the angle they dropped into the stadium was awesome.

ALSO

Coming out of the tunnel to "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva.......awesome. What is it normally....ZZ top or something like that......blah...

On the down side....

A ton of no-shows........usually the place is full.

Congrats, if I had known you could have gated with us, Orange and blue Jello shots and steak.

Did they cheer his idiotic decisions to return kickoffs from 5 yards deep in the endzone 3 times?

They did the same thing for Royal...there was an Eddie chant.

22.0 yards per return avg. 110 yards total.

Better than Buck and Smith in same game.

Looks OK to me.

22 sounds nice until you take into account that when he's returning it from 4 or 5 yards deep, he's not even getting it to the 20, hence, he should have taken knees in those situations!

Nah, they were too busy cheering for Knowshowns 2 yard blasts. Personally, I thought Knowshons running made Charles look like a practice squad guy...

As to Hillis, his returns went to the: 19, 27, 24, 27, 15, which is an average of starting on the 22.5, only one was significantly worse than a touchback (15 yard line).

You can't blame the fans for wanting to see the only guy that routinely produced last year, when the running game (especially short yardage) has been so sub par.

I was shocked how the skydivers came down. I took a picture of them way up, then figured it would take 5 minutes for them to get down to the stadium, then my wife said, "look" and I see them diving in, almost looking like they were out of control in a free fall.

Yea, nowhere NEAR as impressive as Royal's 23 yards per carry. Or, Smith's 19 yards per carry. Or, Buckhalter's 23 yards per carry.

Actually, I guess you could argue that the fact that a 250lb FB is out returning Smith, who cost us a first round pick, probably does deserve a wow.

dave logan said it pretty well when he stated that there is no way that hillis was NOT going to return those kicks.

Actually I found myself in pic #2. You big goof....if you had told me you were coming to Denver you could of tail gated with us and hang out after and freeze but meet some players. Let me know next time. That was a tough game to be at, but I'm starting to believe I can never watch my favorite teams again.....:hurt:

My wife isn't to sure about the "meeting people in person that you met on the Internet, are you crazy. Haven't you seen those Matt Lauer specials" (not really sure if it's Matt lauer, but you get the point).

Figured rather than getting her anxiety up, I would just play this trip low key. Next year (I am going to come out next year), it will likely be alone, and I would love to hook up with some of you guys before/during the game.

Dude you know I'm crazy, I post on here don't I????...;)

ps....I know Aug is a long time away, but if you come out for camp give me heads up....

Cool pics Tned. :salute:

I always knew we had a lot of stuff in common though.

My 1st Broncos game in Denver was also a loss to the Chiefs. :fight:

Back in 2000 at the Old Mile High. My 1st and only game at that stadium. My 1st game at Invesco Was a loss to the Ravens.

So I saw the 2nd to last loss EVER at Old Mile High and the 1st loss at Invesco.

But after that I finally saw some wins. Good times. Sure sucks the way our season came to an end now.

Glad you made it out to a game though.

You deserve it. :salute:

Yea, to be honest, my experience going up to Bush stadium to watch football games (back when the Cardinals played there, wasn't very good. They only had one replay screen, which one of the two times I went, was above me (no way to see it), and compared to watching it on TV, it really wasn't a good experience.

So, while part of me has really wanted to see some Broncos games live, part of me has been convinced that watching it at home is a better experience. Boy, was i wrong. Not only does Invesco have the three great reply screens, but I was close enough to the action to watch the play live, and only check out the screens for the replays.

Then, what I had never experienced was being in a stadium of fans rooting for the same team. I go up to St. Louis once a year to watch the Mets series, but it's me and a buddy that are Mets fans, surrounded by Cardinals fans. On Sunday, being surrounded by the sea of Orange and Blue, hi-fiving each other, and all that jazz was wild.

I had gone to 1 home game before this season and that was a preseason game. Other than that I had been to a Vikings game in Minny, the HOF game in 04, and 2 games at SD. The Mile High atmosphere is hands down the best. Only thing better is a college game IMHO. At SD there were more Broncos fans than Charger Fans and that was in Both 05 and 08. And the HOF game was cool because there were fans from most teams there and our seats were 3 or 4 rows infront of the booth and Madden and Michaels were announcing and it was Joe Gibbs 1st game back. But we went to 3 at mile high this year...Browns, Stillers, and Giants and the 2 primetime games were awesome, but halftime of the Browns when Shannon when into the ring of fame was the coolest.

I loved it, so I am going to do my best to make it up for one or two games a year from now on.
